Well, the fact we have 23 pages of content here shows that there is still a lot of ambiguity around this. The Maynard incident changed the rules, and we know that, however working forward will take some work and some time.

For sure nobody wants to see injured players and just the same, nobody wants to see the game turned in to a fairy parade. Whichever way it goes, it's going to be difficult.

Probably should be 2 weeks, or none. But I suspect it will be 4 weeks, or even 6... which is pretty harsh for a guy running to take a mark.

Not much ambiguity, just a decent dose of delusion and deflection got us this far.

It's 5-6 and pretty indefensible. No attempt to mark, off his feet, severe impact and high.

20 pages of it is you arguing that Wright was somehow trying to mark the ball without using his hands.

Once he realised he wasn't going to mark the ball he choose to drop his shoulder and barrel through Cunningham as his preferred method of spoiling the mark.

4 weeks (although if Max King gets a week for his action, the tribunal may rub Peter Wright out for the rest of the season)

Funnily they've kind of admitted that Wright saw the contact coming as he "tried to protect his previously injured shoulder"

Obviously never played a game in his life - there were two 2 options - spoil or brace for impact

The Essendon edge is all about knocking a couple of players out of the game. Wright was successful. Draper and Hind did their best, but no cigar.

If Wright had broken Cunningham's ribs or caved his face in with his knee there'd be no case to answer
