I recently looked back at the votes for the drawn Queens Birthday game last year. Moloney's best on ground 38 touches, 7 tackles and general midfield dominance wasn't enough to land him a single vote. I'm now skeptical about his ability to poll well at all, even though he has been BoG 3 times this year IMO.

After Watson criticised the substitute rule I doubt he will get many votes. Remember Hird's game after he criticised the umpires? 0 votes for the below effort.

I had forgotten how good his game was.

umpires probably hate the rule changes more than anybody

Got to agree with this. Despite popular belief you'd think the umpires would like less rules, especially ones not concerned with direct play. It makes their job harder

I'll post up the rest of the votes, up until round 6 now. I think this could be a good source for who look to pick the leading poller from each team! Could be tough with teams like Gold Coast, Brisbane and Port which is why i will put a few tips in to help choose those.

Hird criticised the umpire's directly. Watson criticised the rule. Different creatures.

Shouldn't make a difference.

Best on ground is best on ground.

Still have no idea why people give a **** about the Brownlow. It is a midfielder's award based on umpire's opinion. One of the most shameful things about the big footy public is the riding of umpire **** when it comes to an opinion on best and fairest.

No chance Cox has even half the number of votes you have him on. Never polls well even in his AA years.

I know what your saying, but in his dominant games this year, it's hard to pick anyone else to get votes, whereas in the years your talking about, your looking at names like Cousins, Judd, Fletcher and also Kerr being dominant
