Schwartz should be under some serious heat for just how poorly prepared our defence is to play on the road- constantly.

This was a turd of a performance- again. Just slow standing still players making no effort to tackle as the world's oldest man runs through or past them.

Yep, even the Giants defence was able to hold Miami to 20 🤦‍♂️

He's getting a lot of kudos, and rightfully so- but can't say enough about Sanders- already our best ever rookie RB, and getting better every week.

Reminds me a lot of McCoy- and Peters made the same comparison today. Has had a similar season to McCoy. I remember his rookie year people were all over him for dancing too much, and then he had a big break out in Chicago where he nailed a big run to seal the game.

Sanders reminds me similarly- has needed a bit of work in terms of when to just run north / south, but his the obvious big play ability which he shows most weeks.

He can claim a big part of the result- he gets caught behind the line on that 56 yarder, and we're punting down 4 in the fourth. Massive turn around. Very similar to the Packers game.

Howie hit on that pick at least.

Shows more how pitiful the Giants really are that our D did well for a half against them.

Its just going to be pot luck from here on out as to if the birds proceed, I have some confidence now that the offence will show up when needed but zero in the D. Who tf knows week to week but really Prescott should shread this secondary something awful.

We are a real mediocre team right across the board. Obviously I hope we win next week cos it's Dallas, but if we make the playoffs it could get embarrassing. We just don't excel anywhere, and we can get torched just about anywhere.

Massive breakout game for Sanders though, that was awesome.

Our defence is far better at home than away. It has been for years. Just look at the superbowl playoff run.

We'll get done by Dallas. They match up well against us at the best of times, but honestly- look at this offence and the bodies out. There's really no business that it has being competitive with playoff teams. We shouldnt be able to beat contenders, we couldnt win in the playoffs if we got there. And really there's no respite coming for it. No receivers of worth to return (we'd be better off if Nelson didnt at this point), and Howard should be on IR.

Struggling to beat NYG and Was team is where this team is right now.

Incidentally, I think Howie's steal of Boston Scott has gone under the radar a bit. I think people think about him being promoted from our practice squad, but this was a guy that the Saints drafted and that we signed away. Really nice move there- basically got a draft pick for nothing, and he's shown he can be a contributor.

We understate perhaps just how bad the injuries have hit us. I mean, we don't even think about Corey Clement.

This is a team missing its top three receivers, and 3 of its top 4 running backs from our start of season depth chart. That wouldnt be the depth chart now, because Scott has definitely earned a role, but still. Some good scouting work to have fashioned a viable running game.

Given that Howard is an UFA and Miles is showing he is legit at this level, would people be comfortable with an opening day RB depth chart of #1 Miles, #2/#3 Scott and a full back type for short yardage situations?

Wouldn't be signing Howard to any big long term deal, which he almost certainly will be looking for. So yes Sanders & Scott plus bringing another back to help out a bit, along the lines of an Ajayi in the role that he should be playing but can't for whatever reason.

Yep this is what I was thinking of when I said full back type, down hill running type who can move the pile

Yeah, I suppose I mean one that can be a work horse and not just short yardage.

The benefit of big RBs comes from repetition- the wearing down and punishing of the defenders that have to tackle them. Let them get their asses kicked, then try to catch Sanders in the fourth.

If there's one thing that we can give Doug credit for above everything else- it's the heart and spirit that our team plays with and their ability to come together and stay alive. The last two years were remarkable enough, this one feels like so much more.

You kind of feel like it's been the re-birth of Carson.

In a weird way Alshon going down seems to have been the best thing for him. He's lost the pressure of the Foles monkey on the back and having to play like he would. Now he's just playing how he would play, and doing a damn fine job.

It feels like he's been made anew as a franchise quarterback- this is a guy who can win in the clutch, win must win games, and who can make players better.

Yep, an injured Dak or no, Eagles had no right to be winning that game. Ertz was clearly hampered with ribs but played on, ditto Cox with an elbow. The D should have been repeatedly burnt but weren't & made a couple huge plays when it counted, cant ask for much more.

The Giants game will be real tough to win I suspect, Jones will be much more dangerous than Eli was a couple weeks ago.

Birds beat Giants we win the division but if the Eagles lose & Cowboy win, they win the division with a better division record is the state of play I believe.

Handled the pocket much better today, scrambled when he had to, rolled out well. Looks like they changed up the playcalling to give him a bit more breathing room.

Sanders, Ward and Scott were awesome today in clutch situations. Seem to be gelling much better, and becoming more complementary players that make each other better. So the sum of the parts seem to add up to something more than just the totals of the individuals.

Very different from watching some of the first stringers play earlier in the year, they just never seemed to be able to get on the same page.

Far from perfect though, very much a patched together team, especially the oline and secondary. Will get eaten alive by a team that has a better coach than Garrett.

I don't need or want a running back committee any more. Give me Scott as a 3rd down change-up. Find a bruiser. But ride Sanders as a true number 1 back. The patience he has at the line is starting to look a little like Leveon Bell. Couple that with his devastating cuts and his catching out of the backfield and we should be riding him all the way to the bank.
