I don't need or want a running back committee any more. Give me Scott as a 3rd down change-up. Find a bruiser. But ride Sanders as a true number 1 back. The patience he has at the line is starting to look a little like Leveon Bell. Couple that with his devastating cuts and his catching out of the backfield and we should be riding him all the way to the bank.

Do we want him getting more touches than he is right now? He's producing pretty remarkably. I think you want to keep him fresh- this is a guy who I reckon at his best will play all around the place- could see him lining up in the slot from time to time.

We also saw his weakness though- we tried him on a few third and short, and he's really just not big enough to carry defenders with him.

You're right at the moment ie. going into playoffs (assuming we beat the Giants). I'm more thinking into next season. He gets more NFL-fit and match hardened with experience and with another pre season. I know it's a nonsensical, but I kind of feel like he's "above" being split out as a slot receiver. I think going into next season he's a bell cow through and through.

If he can stay fit - which is a big if at the moment - I think Clement can be that short down back. He might be the bruiser I alluded to.

Totally agree with what you said about Wentz btw. While I think we're a pretty ordinary team, and we didn't beat much the 2 weeks before today, when you see him lead an offence missing so many pieces that's really exciting. I still get nervous when he tucks and runs because of the fumble and injury risk, but there's a lot to love about him being prepared to be scrappy, cos I think we've previously relied on him being more flashy.

I don't know if I see it as something to be above. I think it'll make him a lot more dangerous, because of the big play ability that can come from getting him in space as a receiver. If anything I think that's too valuable to risk by having him run the ball 25 times a game or whatever bell cow style.

But then again Brian Westbrook might just about be my favourite Eagle of all time so it might be that I'm biased.

All the best backs get split out into the slot ... Saquon, Bell, Kamara, CMC. You want your playmakers in space

Rodgers back signals Ertz won't play against the Giants, not unexpected with a broken rib. Luckily Goedert is in peak career form.

Interesting stat on Wentz - set an NFL record over his last 3 games with 30 or more completion & no pics, first QB to do that, guess we can excuse the occasional fumble when he's pulling those numbers;).

& touch wood but he's almost completed a full season with no injury issues. Any 'Wentz aint a franchise QB' believers still out there?...

It would be interesting too, because we wouldnt have a lot of continuity / reps with these plays, but also no one would have any film.

Give us an offence with Goddert / Ertz/ Jackson / Sanders/ Howard on the field. How do you defend? Play the pass and Howard runs behind two TE. Play the run, and there's the speed there to hurt you big time.

Having said that- I genuinely think there's a real chance that we drop this week and miss- especially with Ertz out.

It would be the most Eagles thing in the world to shit the bed this week after winning the key game vs Dallas. I’m almost convinced it will happen.

Still, I half expect the Cowboys to lose as well.

NBC Sports Philly have done their all decade and all disappointment teams. Plenty of names in the all disappointment team we would have forgotten about they were so bad (hello first round pick Danny Watkins), and a few surprises in the all decade team.

Quite a few players that have gone on to good things else where on the disappointment list. You'd almost be interested in a list of them.

Guys like Jordan Poyer, and now Mosert who have gone onto good things. And who can forget Villanueva who we didnt try at tackle- i mean he wasnt displacing our book ends over the last decade, but come on guys.

They're just intel gathering atm. He wouldnt be cleared this year anyway.

Even if he were- i don't want him on this team. Leaving aside the morality (or lack thereof) of his behaviour, we've only just settled down what was seemingly a divided locker room and gotten our weapons all on the same page with our QB.

Why are Saints working out Antonio Brown??? Surely if he's available Eagles take him???

**** Brown.

Why do you want to bring guys that you know to be dickheads into your locker room? It's clear that he cares more about himself than his team - those guys are cancer in any sport.

If it's good enough for Saints it's good enough for Eagles. Saints have Thomas ffs they don't even need another wr
but that is exactly why they want Brown, no team can shut down 2 WR's of that level.

But as said above, he is a headcase and not worth it

Killing them but only 3 points on the board and looks like Sanders might be done for the game, early in the second :(

We're losing this game. NYG won't go the entire game without getting a first down, and our offence has been absolutely putrid.

Shit game plan, shit execution.

Looks like Doug just rolled out with the exact same game plan we used on them last time and thought they wouldnt be ready for it. Nothing but shitty screens and dump passes.
