Do you have a source for the ban being lifted?

As far as I'm aware it's expected that it will be lifted, but is actually indefinite.
Oh yeah, I didn't read it properly I thought it was just this year but can't find anything either. In saying that we probably know a bit more to be confident enough to sign him I guess?

Yeah don't think Nick can afford to go a rookie DC.

Or OC. Stiechan had plenty of experience at the position by the time he got here & we've seen what happened with the pairing of Sirianni & Johnson, disaster. & tbh, they need someone that can step into the HC role in season without any drama should things come to that.

Nick's still pretty green (clearly) - think any HC that's not all that experienced needs the seasoned OC/DC combo.

If the HC is experienced, then you can mix it up a bit with less experienced coordinators.

I don't think there was much downside really, if he's not cleared I don't think we actually need to pay him

Probably a better option in there than fhe next Fangio wannabe.

Yeah, I've got to say I'm entirely off this team right now. Sirriani has not been held accountable for one of the most humiliating collapses in NFL history caused by his absurd arrogance and stupidity. The players quit, and deserve condemnation too.

It's broken, and shuffling the deck chairs on the titanic will buy them all another year of high salaries, but it won't do shit to fix things.

There are times when a person reveals themselves to be too mentally inept to hold a role. Anyone involved in the coaching game plan in the Tampa Bay game has revealed themselves. Not a single one should have survived. Purge them with ****ing fire.

I mean, coaching is more than just which plays are called when. Scheme, play design, strategy, opposition analysis, game plan are all things that a head coach would be involved in, and which conceivably a coach could still be good at without having the perfect play calling instinct.

And there are 'culture' guys who can build a total bigger than the sum of its part.

The problem is, you cannot possibly look at this year and think we have a guy that excels at any of those things.

Yeehawww

A source described a disconnect between the visions of Sirianni, Hurts and Johnson, which affected the offense's ability to land on an identity.

It's interesting that the Hurts disconnect stuff has crept in more over time, including the suggestion he was changing the plays at the line.

I don't know how I feel about that.

On the one hand, the plays were garbage and deserved to be changed.

However, I don't like the QB is just going ad hoc whenever he feels like it. How do you coach a player that just outright ignores what you ask them to do.

Seemed fine last year when it took us all the way to the Superbowl. Don't think Hurts is the problem, we changed coaches and went downhill. Think it's Johnson, guys an idiot.
