Curious, has anyone here made money from photography or is it more a side hobby?
Thinking of getting into it as a hobby, but wouldn't mind it as some form of side income down the track if at all possible.
Going entry level for my first camera though, Nikon D3300 seems to be the most reccomended in my budget.

Have involvement in a photography business right now but I don't take the shots.

Just set the business up recently but we've nailed some lucrative contracts already. Tender process is a pain in the arse though.....takes ages.

Unfortunately these aren't great res as they're taken from my Facebook page. Hope you enjoy regardless

This was the middle of the night in the Bolivian mountains. There was a fairly large moon and clear sky so it made for amazing night shots. Got quite a few good ones here. Thats Huyana Potosi - 6088 metres. Climbed that bitch the next night

iPhone photo at Lake Bellfield. Took 43 kids to Hall's Gap on school camp last week. Unfortunately I couldn't bring my dSLR as I was the first aider so I had to carry that stuff instead.

No" unfortunately" about this photo :) . It is great
Thanks. Would've loved to have had my gear on the Pinnacle hike, but tbh, I struggled getting myself there, let alone anything but else.

That'll probably do. Highly recommend visiting Japan. Every aspect of it I loved. The people, the food/beer, the scenery, the ease in transport, the politeness, their passion, history... Everything. I cant wait to head back.

Have just bought the sigma 150-600mm lens, wife won't let me have it until Xmas, it's killing me seeing it there under the tree especially when I've seen two wedge tailed Eagles on my way to work this last week
