think there's a lot of posturing by both sides on the Jolly trade - I think if it comes down to it, Sydney probably will take #14 for him, but there will probably be some sort of exchanging of draft picks later as well (eg. Collingwood's 2nd rounder for Sydney's 3rd, or something like that).

Sydney will be hard pressed to get much more for him - he's a very good player, but aside from maybe Hawthorn I don't see many more teams trying to trade for another ruckman??

Wouldn't have know considering how injury prone he is and sure may be inexperience but then that begs the question why are you playing Wood i mean he's like 20? :p

Fraser still played 17 games this year.. obviously there would have to be medical assessments to clear his knee of serious damage..

But you can't tell that a "fit" fraser would not be a fair trade along with pick 30..?

and see if you can answer me..? who is going to ruck for you once jolly is gone, because jolly will go..!

And who would you want for jolly..????

Fraser is still a very good player, but isn't what we need anymore..

If Jolly goes, who is gonna ruck for you..? Seaby will be your number 1 ruckman considering Jesse White is being developed into a forward..

Fraser averages 18 possessions a game and uses the ball well..

He's a year younger than Jolly, and arguably is coming of his best year..

Did you actually watch any football this year..?

So in your eyes, what is a realistic trade..????

and if a trade does come about where jolly goes to either hawthorn or collingwood, who will your second ruckman be..??

um have you heard of a c Canadian bloke call Mike Pyke he is an absolute super star or young Daniel Currie who will be a very good player if he can stay injury free compared to josh fraser these guys are superstars of the game. fraser is neither a ruckman or a forward who has a dodgy knee.

Fraser might get a few more cheap touches but Jolly has twice the number of hit outs. Jolly kicks more goals and uses the ball better.

nah seriously Jolly is top 3-4 ruck in the league...only Cox and Sandilands would be better, others would be on par.

Fraser is our 2nd ruckman, so there would need to be some serious compensation with that trade.

14 and Fraser will be enough, but I think we would be giving too much away then. Therefore Sydney passes on their second rounder (22 or 23??) and we have a deal!

Mike Pyke superstar..???

I know collingwood supporters get accused of over rating their players but calling Myke Pyke a superstar is probably the worst call of the decade..!

Even Wood averages more disposals and marks than Jolly, keep him, we'll go for the Mummy

Collingwood supporters claiming the high moral ground on football knowledge and now quoting statistics without the faintest idea of what they mean.

Sorry but look at the way Paul Roos uses Jolly, old school ruck, he is used to take pack marks or bring the ball down in a contest, he's never used in running link up plays unless he is used up forward.

There's a trend of cheap possessions with modern ruckman but Jolly has not been used that way but when he is used it's for important touches not rubbish link plays. And that's why you guys want him too.

Have noticed a trend with the Swans rucks over the years that their away form is not as good as home form, the reason i think rucks flourish at Sydney is the ground size, being so small the ruckmen can get to more contests around the ground and dont usually need as much of a chop out in ruck contests forward or back thus having a bigger influence on games at the SCG.
Jolly is still a very good ruck however i doubt his influence at the pies playing the G every week would be as good.
Pick 14 should be enough but if not so be it we will look at a Mumford or similar for far cheaper.

Currie, Orreal or Pyke. LRT in a squeeze. An of the first three just need to pinch hit, they won't be carrying like Jolly.

But Collingwood are willing to move him on for Jolly because...

Pick 14 and someone who isn't Cook.

Any reason you asked the same question twice?

No doubt you are spot on. But I hope you are not putting Wood in with the cheap touches. He doesn't get a heap of it but gets it in good spots.
