Pies make Jolly offer

rumour dude, just a rumour, theres a rumour in the Australian that jolly will go to the pies for pick 14, or isnt that rumour true ? i guess your rumour is though.

What the Australian, or maybe the Age?, I just read, said, was that Sydney deemed pick 14 on it's own as inadequate. As Jolly is under contract I can't see them letting him go for the first offer they receive.

If that goes through I will run with bulls in Pampalona in full body paint. Seaby would barely be worth 38, and I don't know why the Swans have offered him 300k plus a year for three years.

My understanding is that both parties have agreed to the trade.

In the case of the Jolly rumour it was just a player manager speculating and there were direct quotes from the coach of Sydney refuted what this manager had said.

Massive difference.

Anyway, just answer hypothetically. If the deal for Seaby ===> pick #22 goes through as suspected what value does Jolly hold at the trade table?
i havnt seen a lot of seaby but if that rumours true someone holds him in good regard at sydney, look jolly is worth what someones willing to pay for him, the more a club need him and the more clubs who chase him the higher the price he'll fetch, im just saying that collingwood wont be offering much more than 14 and cracker bickie, cox perhaps.

As long as the paint is red!

3 way deal

Pies give: Nathan Brown, 14

Swans give: Jolly, Barlow

Blues give: 27, Fisher

Pies get: Jolly, 27

Swans get: 14, Fisher

Blues get: Nathan Brown, Barlow

Pies get Jolly and a pick, Swans get a tall to replace Bazza and a second pick in the top 20 and the Blues get two quality tall backmen.

It's a win-win-win.
Close to the worst deal I've seen proposed this year. How does #27 and Fisher get Carlton Brown and Barlow? Bizarre.

In all fairness i reckon even most Collingwood supporters woulod acknowledge that more than pick #14 is needed.
Correct.

I'm just as pumped by the news we're after Ball. He's exactly what we need in midfield. Do it!

You are looking at pick 22 in a narrow way.

Pick 22 is an extra pick the swans will get for the three way trade invovling Seaby, Buchanan and Staker.

The swans would have only offered a third round pick for Seaby under normal circumstances.

WC has done very well out of this deal because Seaby is a VERY AVERAGE player.

You are looking at Pick 22 through narrow eyes.

The Swans will gain an extra pick in the second round because of the exchange between Buchanan, Staker and Seaby.

Under normal circumstances the Swans would have used a third round pick.

WC has won out in this deal because SEABY is a very AVERAGE player.

Umm no it isn't. Pick #22 is Sydney's current 2nd round pick in the national draft before any trades are made.

If they trade Buchanan they are looking at landing pick #28 from Brisbane.

Why did you make the same post twice but just change a couple of words?

I hope the Hawks have a crack at Jolly, with Campbell now retired, I think we should change our focus from Burgoyne to Jolly.

Pick # 9 + McGlynn or ????

Pick 9 and Kennedy would get the deal done imo. Roosy and co. are huge fans of Kennedy and we get a better pick than 14. If the Hawks went with that they would get the top ruckman they havent had since Spida.

Sydney will be the big winners from the trade. They are going to own trade week if they can get Kennedy and Mcglynn.

One of the biggest ruck men movements for a while and with comprimised draft I'd hope they get a bit for him

I'd be happy with:
Pick 9 + Kennedy
Pick 14 + Dawes

If it's another ROK saga I'd be happy to as we keep Jolly :)

hawthorn do worry me...they have many more fringe players to offload like Kennedy and McGlynn who would suit the Sydney gameplan...and they have a premiership window and the burning need for a ruckman. If they do not secure Burgoyne, this would have to be their next option.

At this stage, i think the offer from Collingwood will be Pick 14 alone...but I think the idea of floating Fraser for another pick will come into mind...especially if we want Ball

You will not get 14 and Dawes, if you want Dawes you would be looking at our second round pick. He was pick 20 in a super draft and would have been higher bit for his knee. He is ready to go and I seriously doubt we will consider any trade for him.

I have heard Jolly will retire if a trade to a Vic club cannot be done as his wife has pretty much said she is coming home regardless.
