Might be easier for the young rucks to compete with the new ruck rules, from what i've heard he's pretty much ready to go.

Probably in the same vain as Longer though...

What I meant by "woes" was - everyone seems hell bent on picking up a ruckman who can steer us to a premiership if Jolly goes down but the simple fact is no-one in the draft can. I would love him, but people hoping to pick him up for the sole purpose of having him as reliable premier backup ruckman for next year have it all wrong. That was more my point... Anyway, neither here nor there the argument has been done to death.

It's far too difficult to know for sure- especially as we have three back-to-back-to-back selections.

Just with all the "whispers" going around, I think Ben Kennedy is a favourite to become a Pie tonight. North is the only other club "linked" to him heavily but apparently they are set to take Hrovat (who coincidentally is quite close with Boomer Harvey).

Not sure how it will play out but I'll tip Kennedy to join us tonight.

You are right. But having said that I think Witts could surprise next year. I doubt he can take us to a flag...but I think he could hold down a good 2 months if Jolly had a bad hamstring or groin injury.

Ultimately we need Jolly there at the business end...but I'm pretty confident Witts can really stand up.

But as you say, regardless if we still had Wood, or if we get Currie or if we get Grundy...Jolly is the key when we make finals.

But I'd love to get Grundy. Reckon he would be a steal and we'd be mad to bypass him.

Why do i keep getting flashbacks of Sean Rusling about Garner

Half of ruslings problems were random injuries like fractured cheekbones, broken wrist, hamstring ect ect. His shoulders weren't the only reason he didn't make it, very VERY injury prone in all areas.

Witts will need to be 24-25 before he an AFL standard ruckman. Same with any ruckman really.

Some ruckmen take until 24-25, others can be ready at 21... witts is a different player to other ruckmen and its hard to say when he'll be ready because ruckmen of his size rarely come along, with such a little pool to make observations from we can't make anything with certainty.

18- Grundy
19- Garner
20- Stringer (can only hope on stringer and grundy)
38 - White
80 - Garlett
would be my perfect draft!

There is no way Garlett is going to fall to 80.

Personally i reckon we will go Grundy (IF he slides), then kennedy. and then...
