Bucks is trying to keep his job doesn't it make sense to play your best players? Pendles was injured coming into the year and we played him it's no different really.

Seems silly since midfield is the area you guys have really good depth in...it's not like he's contributing much anyway.

If bucks wants to win to try to save his career if he was smart he'd play a fit midfielder over Treloar...surely you have someone in the reserves who would contribute more than he did today?

As many know I have a good relationship with Adam and I know full to well he is injured, he is having OP flare ups and his left his has been causing him lots of discomfort. I don't think he's the one to be laming blame on he's injured and they keep playing him, it's a similar situation to luke ball at saints they're destroying his body.

Looks like more than a flare up. Treloar needs to be packed up for the rest of the year and freshened up. Has no power in his running, his kicking is severely restricted and his lateral movement is non-existent. Is brave to play but honestly what is the point now?

I'd have, Moore, Howe and wells in before I totally agree. But you're not far off it.

Yeah, I'll give you Howe. We really misssed him today. Essendon basically doing whatever they want in their forward line. But Wells has hardly played, and we should still have enough to kick a winning score without Moore. But the other thing is that Moore and Howe have been in when we have been getting all these losses to bad teams. The only players that we have really been missing are Varcoe and Wells. It is bad luck that they are both quick and handy users of the ball. But look at GWS injury list compared to ours. They keep winning.. or drawing at least lol.. and they have all these debutants there. yeah they have all the best of the drafts for the past 5 years, but they are coached very well too I believe. We are just horribly coached.

We just cannot win games comfortably. We always get small leads and give them up, or just no lead at all. Every win seems to be a scrappy.. nearly a fluke win. There is no dominance against any team. We are a bottom 4 team, with no way to fix it. Because most of the garbage we have has no trade value whatsoever.

I don't get why players don't put their hand up and say "I'm cooked, I need a rest", or why the medical staff aren't telling the coach they're not available for selection.

Really what is the coach gonna do, put them in the VFL, trade them?

In 1999/2000 you could see the future in our players.

On 2004/05 we were clearly tanking for priority picks.

This current team is so much worse. Besides Grundy and Moore we have nothing to look forward to. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets any better.
Yep, they were worse than Lonzo Ball today and that's saying something.

I'm doing the sign language for the presser.

As a club, we are adrift.

No definable structure, gameplan, strategy, clue. I don't know how we are actually proposing we are going to win any given game, nothing about how we approach it tells me, yep, we have thought about it and come up with an idea that makes it more likely we are going to win. Its like everyone in our club is reading a book "<insert your job title> for Dummies" and coming up with random instructions from chapter seven that are just totally out of sync with reality but they dont know any better and its all theyve got.

The hardest part is wondering who we keep?

Off the field, frankly think all of Eddie, Pert, Hine, Davoren, Buckley, Harvey, Rocca, Lockyer, are liabilities and should get the chop right now, but we cant ditch all of them at once and Eddie is dictator for life anyway, we are bolted to this cluster**** of a vanity project till he decides enough is enough.

On field, so many just poor footballers. Once again, could easily cull 15 off this list but you wont be able to replace them in one hit with anything better.

From today, positives are Fas, again, and Elliott. Thats about it. The midfield was horrible. Against one of the weaker mid units we got hosed. What someone actually good would do to us probably qualifies as torture pr0n.

Time to play Kirby, Brown, yeah even Daicos selectively, see what they can do. Aish, back to see if he has a career. Wills in and say goodbye to Greenwood. Treloar to the medical room. Varcoe looks done.

All we have left is to finally, belatedly, start the road back. That starts with giving Buckley his marching orders if he is still so out of touch to believe he can actually do this job.

Out of the Brown and Daicos. I'd back Daicos in to have the better game of them. He is the type of player who lifts with the level.

Kirby should be playing too.

Surely the time is now to let him rest up. It'll do nobody any good to destroy him completely by continuing to play him

I thought the rot set if for the club early last year, when bucks decided cloaky wouldn't be persisted with. That removed our forward line threat with no replacement available. Now we're seeing the rewards for short term "save my job" thinking.

one guy can have a reasonable excuse but what about the rest of them that did nothing today?

I'm talking about De Goey, Josh Smith, Varcoe, Broomhead, Greenwood <- all of these guys contributed less than Lynden Dunn and Tyson Goldsack.. who are both full back players that don't get many statted posessions because most of their work is punching the ball and body work. How these 5 players (who are all midfield, run and carry types), can have less dreamteam points than Lynden Dunn and Tyson Goldsack is beyond comprehension. Especially against Essendon! A team that plays no defence! It's not like it's hard to get possesseions against a defenceless team.

The first Hawthorn game reignited my passion for this club. I only noticed I had been missing the passion because I felt so indifferent to turnovers, goals against and ultimately the result. When we came storming back against the Hawks and showed some grit it all came flooding back.

Today.... it died again. I just don't care anymore, which is probably a good thing in our current state.

I missed the first half.

How did Adam "selfish offensive seagull with no defensive run" Treloar go? Good game?
Bit harsh considering the bloke can hardly walk at the moment. Shouldn't even be playing.
