Buckly is another one who is deserving
First one to mind being a Dee supporter, its great to see he's recognised by opposition supporters. Especially the team he would have taken one from given his chances.Robert Flower a true champion of the game
Buckly does deserve one. Thats why its even funnier that he hasn't won one.Buckly is another one who is deserving

He was a superstar!
Agreed. Crawf is a champion and in my opinion, his value to Hawthorn, and the AFL, is often under-stated.
Tony Lockett......how many goals did he kick in dud sides...got to the GF once and did his bit from memory....but for the guy that's kicked the most goasl in history of the game he couldn't have done much more to deserve a winner's medal.
he could have gone back to port when they entered the AFL but he stayed loyal to the pies
surely with Buckley port may not have been the chokers that they were in 02-03.....pies beat port in the finals in both 02&03 after port finished on top
a bloke who deserves one is ronny mckewon, standing in the race as the 1990 celebrations went on around him........
I don't understand why people are saying Lockett.
IMO players that leave a club chasing success don't "deserve" a premiership.
Pls Collingwood were lucky to win 1990 as it is, Buckley doesn't deserve anything he chased glory and it blew up in his face.
Don't agree entirely but I do agree overall he was good for the club. Not so sure it was always the case with the the team though. He kept the Saints alive in the '80's, early '90's.
And that's exactly the reason the AFL ensured he was paid a small fortune to go up there. What's his contribution been to Sydney & the AFL since the big cheques stopped? There was no interest in footy in Sydney, until Plugger came up.
Agree,Greatest goalkicker of all time.
And why did he need a fresh start? Spider needs one too. Does he "deserve" a flag because of it?He needed a fresh start.
Couldn't disagree more.Definitely deserved one.
No, Crawford was not drafted till at least 1993.I thoguht he had one in 91???
for some reason i seemed to remember seeing him playing in the granny against the eagels i think....

Considering the current state of Victorian footy I think that heartland may be in desperate need of a triple bypass champ.pies were lucky to win in 90??
finished second and had 3 consecutive 40+ wins to take the flag, fairly convincing winners
ronny in the race was a very sad sight
pfft buckley just wanted to play in footy's heartland.......melbourne
