Pies saved their best footy for the real contenders like Essendon & West Coast, put in one shocker against hawthorn the week after playing the H&A game of the season. Plenty of good sides have lapses of concentration when they come up against teams who are middle of the road.

All that massive loss to Hawthorn did was wake the boys up to realise that they have to come to play every week, unlike simply rocking up believing they would win.

Hawthorn were simply making up the numbers - FACT

No Collingwood didn't smash everyone in the finals may'be the teams you played but not everyone as had you played Hawthorn it would've given Sydney's record final loss a shake. But hey you barrack for Collingwood and should be use to losing finals

Most playeres in this thread mentioned I don't think deserve them, people IMHO are wanting to hand out medallions like knives and forks at dinner time.

But we didn't play the Hawks in the finals, that's a fact. Unless you have recently come into possesion of a crystal ball, it's a bit hard to categorically say you would have beaten us. It's like saying if Buckley hadn't left the Bears, they still would have dominated. The team list could have been completely different had he stayed. Or because Freo beat West Coast in the regular season, they deserve to be premiers, because they would have smashed them in the finals aswell. But they didn't get the chance to find out, that's just the way the cookie crumbles. We beat who we needed too; you guys weren't good enough to advance through to face us, tough ********.

I'd like to say Buckley, playing for Collingwood for so many years, when, let's face it, we WERE crap. He was a shining light for Pie fans, like him or not. But then again, I'm probably biased

I'd say the Bulldogs trio of West, Grant and Smith have been unlucky, but then again, if your team isn't good enough to win the flag, then you don't deserve one.

PS. If you did indeed find a crystal ball, please give me some good stock tips

How does arguing that Harvey deserves a premiership at least just as much as Grant does and defending Harvey against your unsubstantiated slurs on his character, equate to trolling?

Not that he is a shining example of a player that deserved one, but just to take a slightly different approach, Matthew Clarke was unlucky not to get one. He played with Brisbane and Adelaide, but in the wrong order.
From Adelaide, Tony Modra did deserve one but is miles behind other guys that have already been mentioned like Skilton, Flower, Harvey, Bulldogs old brigade.
