Single handedly dragged your mob into the '91 finals series.
He doesn't owe the game anything. He was a joy to watch when he was playing and he got people through the gates.
No, he doesn't deserve one because he needed a fresh start. But to say he left purely seeking success is incorrect. He wasn't getting the best out of himself in his last 2 years at St.Kilda.

they beat the top team roughly 100 points in two games

results of the two games
early in the year hawks won by couple of points due to a mick gayfer across goal pass that dunstall intercepted
late in the year smashed us by about 80 or so, as this was the week after the game of the season, against essendon at waverley first live h&a game to be televised into melbourne, pies didn't give a yelp after the awesome battle the week before, as hawthorn were also rans!
so all up bout 82 i reckon

Out of all the current players, Chris Grant by any proverbial length. Has remained loyal to his club through all these years, toiled hard, popular with all supporters for his humble attitude, and done it all while going through such setbacks like the ridiculous suspension that cost him a Brownlow, not to mention serious injury. What a champion.

That is ridiculous! Rob Harvey is at the very least just as deserving, but in reality moreso! Equals all the attributes except that he has never been reported!

It is not ridiculous. Chris Grant is FAR more deserving than Roberty Harvey for two reasons:
1) Harvey has overachieved, outside of winning a flag. He has won Brownlows, played in a GF etc. Had his time in the sun. In other words, he has not had the setbacks Grant has.
2) Robert Harvey (and I realise this is a big call, so dont bite my head off) is apparently not the same sort of champion off the field as he is on it. I have heard reports aplenty that he can be quite demanding and arrogant off the field. Off-field Grant is as polite and gracious as he is on it.
Not that Harvey isnt a champion who deserves a flag, but to say than ANYONE deserves it more than Grant is bloody pathetic IMO.

Ill tell you what, champion, I will give Hawthorn 2 victories which add up to 82 points every year, if it meant the pies were gonna win the flag. The trouble with your theory, champion was that you werent good enough to play us in the finals.

How has Harvey overachieved by winning Brownlows or playing GFs? I guess you wouldn't call a knee reconstruction a major setback. Grant has had equal opportunity for time in the sun, just that the Dogs spent too much time in the shade!
Have you ever met Harvey? Well I have, he is a thorough gentleman, so don't go quoting hearsay as fact. Have you ever met Grant or is your opinion also based on hearsay!
