Kobe Ryan
only through write-ups and highlights, but I quite like him if Essendon were to take a second dip within the top 30 outside the Davey bid.
Consistency seems to be the word on him. I like that, cos most our mids are anything but.

also, I miss getting to SA for u18 footy :( had a great time in '15 and '16 driving over for footy and wine

He'd be in the 5-10 bracket
Cannot agree with that, no player in this draft has had a better draft year than Rankine in his draft year. If he was in this draft he's go close to Numero Uno.

Maybe you could make a case for Ashcroft but that's about all.

I was talking more on form since being drafted, he's a super talent but generally midfielders are going to go higher than a small forward, I don't think there'd be heaps of people taking Rankine over Wardlaw and Ashcroft at the very least, then it's probably 50/50 calls with Clark, Tsatas and Sheezel

Seriously?
I think people are massively under rating Rankine these days (after initially over rating him and expecting miracles)
He went 3 in an exceptional draft class and has advanced pretty well since. He has sublime talents and is top 5 any draft.

I never understand these discussions.

Are we comparing 18 year old Rankine to the 18 year olds this year? Or comparing 22 year old Rankine to them? And if he's being slotted into this draft pool, should the others from 2018 also be considered then? What about every other player in the league? Because there's a lot of players who would be top 5 in any draft. In which case, PM saying 5-10 might be generous - since he arguably wouldn't be a top 5 pick from his own draft given there's Walsh, Smith, Rozee and the King twins. But there's hindsight threads elsewhere, which I stay clear of for a reason.

Trade value is different to draft position.

Exactly

like saying macasy still worth pick 6 - 10 in draft year best kpf tally take longer to develop

could we spin that on carlton

i doubt it

never get their pick 11

hope ready plays fair but hard

Could’ve sworn there was an Izak Rankine thread on this board. 😂

Huh?

What you talkin' about Willis?

Do you think Seth Campbell can translate his talents to AFL level?
He's got a lot of traits that clubs will love, but i think the major sticking point will be the fact he didn't carry on his NAB League form into the Champs, didn't look as confident and didn't really work his way up the ground even in the games that the Allies got destroyed. It may be a case that he has to go and do it in the SANFL like Menzie to demand that attention, but right now I think he's a rookie chance at best
