So I levelled up pikipek playing that pokemon catching thing just by switching it out and getting ko's but it didnt evolve waste of time

Once I learned you let them all go, I realised there isn't much more point.

Niconico in Japan streamed their play through of the start of the game on their show last night. There was some minor new information that I'll post in spoilers as well as the video of the stream if anyone wants to take a look.

• Shaking grass returns to the games, but its function may differ and there’s a new animation of the wild Pokémon jumping out.
• The number of Trials has been confirmed as seven.
• Ilima’s trial was previewed and featured the player finding Rattata in a cave, after which they were awarded with a Z Crystal.
• Rotom Dex will show you your Pokédex completion percentage after catching a Pokémon.

Hopefully that's just for the one they've shown and the others will be different. I've got a feeling they're all going to be fairly similar in some way.

An hours worth of the main game with some new cool mechanics to see. Loving the amount of detail in these games. Everything about the region looks great, the whole world just looks alive.

After all the new Pokémon leaked I thought they might struggle to produce the same excitement with these vids but I think this might be the best one yet.
