Shocking news.

As much as I hate the Tiges, you never like to see guys hurt in any way, let alone this serious.

I genuinely hope he makes a full recovery, and maybe even play again one day.

Spot on.
Reminded me of your boy, Peter Motley, just a tragedy and footy rivalries just go by the by in times like this.

Hope he's not as bad as Peter but these things go through your head and you pray is not that bad.

Terrible news for all concerned, interestingly yet not suprising is the sentiment shown from all AFL followers, its what makes this such a terrific sport, shame on those who think other wise, don't think normal human beings could have anything but sympathy for anybody in this position, footballer or not and the circumstances don't mean a great deal. All the best to himself and his families for a healthy recovery. Lets hope he gets the chance to realise his ambitions whatever they are.

I was stunned when I heard that on the telly this morning. I hope the guy is alright and recovers as good as new. Sympathies for his family who live on the other side of the country - they must be climbing the walls until they can get over here.

With all due respect to the nurse above, some highly credentialled doctors made comments as late a year after Nathan Brown's leg break saying there was no chance he would ever play AFL again, let alone at a high level.

It's a bit of a stab in the dark even if you did know all of the details, let's wait and see what the doctors think when he wakes up.

Thank you for your opinion but you can't say that with any degree of confidence from the information you have.

I heard this on the radio about 10mins ago & couldn't believe what I was hearing.
I'm no Richmond supporter & barely know who Polak is, but he plays in the greatest game on earth so I wish him all the best. Hope he recovers because the last thing anyone wants to see is a player's career ended like this.
:(

Extremely saddening news.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends at such a tough time.

Don't worry about footy, Footy takes a back seat now, the priority is Polly's health.

for starters a broken leg is very different from the injuries the poor kid has atmo :(

You cant really look at specifics but in terms of generally you think someone with experiance in a similar area could make a more educated guess then you or I

This is pointless at this time - all that matters is that he recovers

Good Luck Graham :thumbsu:
