McMahon and Hughes were both with him when it happend..

Both will need councelling and also were with him at the hosptial all night.

What great team mates. Sad Sad news for Polly one of my favourite tigers out there. Thinking if i can visit him as my mum is in hospital aswell.

Very sad news. Get well polly we need you. :(

Poor bloke. When I heard he got hit by a tram I thought they were referring to the incident where he backed back with the flight of the ball and got cleaned up by Fev.

I hope to god that he pulls up alright.

Feel sorry for Cleve and Jordy who had to witness him getting cleaned up aswell.

Oh and wait a few weeks before using "Polaxed" puns

Shocking news. Shocked all of us, especially my son who follows the Tiges. Good luck Polly.

Just heard on the Sunday footy show that he's improving and should be out of the induced coma around lunchtime today.

All the best....looking forward to reading about how you are up on your feet again very soon.

Horrible news.:(

It was reported that he was exiting a taxi to get to his house when he was hit. Was with a couple of team mates, Jordy and Mguane I think, who ended up staying overnight in the hospital with him.

He was induced into a coma with concerns that there might be brain swelling as a result of the hit. From reports there's been no further swelling but that could change, particularly within the next 24 hours . Football is the last of his concerns if and when he recovers, as they dont know at this stage what long term physical and intellectual effect the accident has had on his brain .

From a personal view I extend my heartfelt sympathies to his family and secondly to the players who no doubt will also be feeling devastated now.

McMahon and Hughes were with him, from a blue fan and despite the fact that we all niggle and hang it on each other, (we all know its generally in jest and light hearted ribbing) i would like to extend my best wishes to Polak and family, friends and team mates
(especially the 2 that were with him) it would of been awful to witness someone close to you have that happen right before your eyes.

Get well soon Graham and hope to see you back on your feet very soon.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Just like to say as many have good luck Polak lets hope his health is ok and he can make a full recovery mentally, playing football again certainly isnt the highest priority. Best Wishes to the family and everyone close to him. No doubt it would have shocked many at Richmond and Fremantle for that matter. Get well soon mate.

What terrible news :(

I wish Graham a speedy recovery and best wishes to his family at this time :(

It just shows how fragile life is

I've just heard about this and don't know what to say. Being shocked doesn't even cover it.

I really hope Polak recovers, more for his sake than for the Football club as he is a good guy, very young and a lot to look forward to.

Best wishes to you Graham , your family and the Richmond Football Club.

I'm shattered don't know what else to say.:(

Terrible luck for the poor bloke and hope he makes a quick recovery.
Lets just hope that he gets back to full health and not worry about his football career for the time being.
Also hope Cleve and Jordan recover well and get the counseling they require.

Terribly sorry to hear this news. I heard the press conference on SEN and they were saying that things didn't look as bleak as they did last night. Doctors were hoping to bring him out of the medically induced coma today. Our thoughts are with Graham, his family, his team mates and the entire Richmond family. All the best for his full and quick recovery.

Yes dreadful news. I wish him all the best.

Unfortunately according the medicos interviewed on TV this morning, he has brain injuries. This may or may not lead to long term brain impairment...but it is simply too early to know.
