He's always been a healthy eater ...

He says he has spasmodic dysphonia, a rare neurological disorder that impacts the voice. Spasmodic dysphonia can also be called laryngeal dystonia.

Fair enough but how many people kill a bear and the leave it Central Park? The guy is off his teets.

Hey gentlemen, I am just putting in relevant possible policy info in a thread that specifies that very thing from a person who may have a prominent role in the new admin coming in. And keep in mind, regardless of our views, he is very popular in his country.

Is his popularity because of his views, or because of his name?

Both. And I think that was a major thing in this election. You weren't just voting for Trump, you were voting for Trump, Kennedy jr, Tulsi Gabbard and even Musk if he takes a position in the admin.

Who will replace Caroline ?
Which totally unqualified marlargo member will get ambassadorial gigs

Just to be clear, this is an article from 2019. We wouldn't want to mislead anyone and they think this is current.

It's an agricultural policy that would actually appeal to alot of people. What effect such drastic changes would have on US food production is another question.
Although costs would go through the roof. Check out the prices of organic fruit and veg next time you are at the supermarket. Most US citizens don't eat fresh fruit and veg anyway.

I'm seriously ****ing confused how any American can interpret 'imposing tariffs on imported goods' with 'lower cost of living'.

1. They have no idea how importing goods works.
2. They believe the manufacturer will pay the tariff and not increase the price at all.
3. They believe it'll bring manufacturing jobs back to the US, which will for <reasons> lower the cost of things.

Look up the stuff on food deserts. Many people don't even have access to healthy food at a reasonable price and in sufficient quantity.

Swapping in the stuff that makes your hunter-gatherer brain light up is cheaper - longer shelf life and so on - but drains the health system long term.

I think someone posted an article about what Costco etc have done with big boxes of frozen convenience food and what they have done to huge portions of the US population.

But RFK Jr is still nutso. He takes this to the extreme and rejects vaccines, while touting ivermectin for Covid. Hopefully he is fobbed off with a "Sunshine and Exercise Tsar" role for a few hundred k a year.

RFK says a few sensible things, in a sea of crazy stuff.

Yes, people should make more healthy food choices and exercise and they'll be healthier. But you can't simply ignore all the batshit crazy stuff he says because of a couple of sensible things that are already being pushed by most health authorities anyway.

We already tell people not to eat shit and do exercise, if there's not a program to a. increase fresh produce availability (the food desert issue) and b. subsidise it so that it's cheaper to eat fresh produce than processed food, you can't really do much to force people to change their eating habits.

Yelling at them EAT HEALTHIER isn't going to work.

No, there's no arguing. Just intrigue. I'd love to know what the reality is. It'd probably help me in other areas of life.
Given you attributed Trump's win to something I never saw mentioned by one person even once, I would hazard a guess and say, reality is something you think it isn't.

Do with that what you will.

would be epic if true
He did say the day after he was elected a simple phone call would end Russias invasion, it has been days and so far Trump and fElon Musk were on a call to Zielinsky.

War still ongoing.

I mean, I am not surprised he is a liar, his whole life is full of it. But usually its months into a Presidency where they break a promise, he hasn't even been sworn in yet.

and back then trump appointed these people. who will get the gig now? , Marlargos gardner , anthony pratt , gina?
How about we wait and see? I mean the article is 5 years old. Just saying.

Do you think it will be any different this time around?
