Dunno what Elons issue is about the spending.

Outside of COVID US Spending has generally been the same % of GDP for a long time. If anything, its is falling behind.

He's better of looking at what their spending it on rather, than the spending numbers itself. Finding spending efficiencies is a good thing but you can't just pull 30% spending and think you have done a good job lol.

Hopefully a bit more detail comes out other than "were going to sack people"

easier to sack people in a private sector

Yeah I thought you could only reallocate govt employees not really give them the arse.

That said governments are notoriously inefficient, i'm sure they'd be able to cut plenty.

nah you can still make government employees redundant etc.

there just usually so much process involved no one bothers.

Oh sheesh just because you can’t (or won’t) appreciate the distinction he/she is making.

HTW has repeatedly explained their point extremely clearly.

No wonder people walk away from discussions on here. Honestly one of the things that most turns me off this place is when anonymous posters insist on attributing malign motives to other anonymous posters despite zero evidence.

“You secretly support Trump” would have to be the most dismayingly lame argument ever.

cheers but i wouldn't bother. Some people just want to whine when they dont get their way or you dont agree with their view only. Just put em on ignore.

makes the threads more bearable.

Nope. Disagree, with RFKjr spouting the rubbish that he has eating Maccas and making it out to be part of a healthy diet is contradictory to his stance against big business and American health. He needs to be rallying against shite like Maccas instead of advertising it.
He was on a plane where trumps team organised the food.

When your on work trips you often dont have a choice of what to eat.

To argue this is proof of anything is a bit silly.

True enough.

I dunno though, if you had RFK's supposed positions on food you'd probably opt out of that particular photo, just give your seat to poor old Mike Johnson who couldn't quite snag a spot at the big boys' table for 10 seconds while the photo was taken.

But Trump wouldn't have allowed that, which is kinda the point. Sit down shut up and eat ya Maccas, Bobby :tearsofjoy:

HTW gets picked on because his posting is transparent, if you haven't noticed the trend, you either haven't seen enough of his posts or are ignoring it.

He swoops in to 'clarify' or 'make distinctions' about very, very specific things.

In a thread about Trump's policy positions, he's made zero posts about policy positions, or cabinet appointment, but felt like he really needed to 'clarify' RFK being teased.

There's a clear pattern to what and who he feels needs his clarifications or distinctions. So whilst yes, he has made his point extremely clearly, he's also made it extremely clear what and who he supports, whilst trying to hide behind a veneer of 'oh I'm just an unbiased person concerned with due process'.

Another faux head gets a gig
President-Elect Donald Trump said in a statement on Monday that he has nominated Fox Business Network host Sean Duffy to serve as Secretary of Transportation.

A Republican, Duffy served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019. He is the co-host of The Bottom Line.
