I've only seen a few highlights and a few player reports/evaluations but the few players who interested and grabbed my attention the most were Scharenberg, Aish, McDonald (going to NM under FS rule), Kolodjashnij and Bontempelli (Pendles 2.0?).

Kelly and Billings are highly rated by the experts but I haven't really seen much of them. I'll be glad to receive any top-end youngster who will be able to be developed anc cultivated into a life-long Collingwood player. I'm sure Hine will make the right decision for the club!

Anyway, I voted for Scharenberg. His defensive abilities on the half-back line, bigger body and contested marking ability really caught my eye.

We have to pick a player over 185cm, we just have to, so the options are Kolodjashnij, Bontempelli, Scharenberg and Lennon, but I'd got with KK at this stage, but it may also depend on who drops out of the top 5 to number 6 of the currently rated top 5 players.

If Aish slides we'll take him over any of those mentioned. But I agree, height should be a preference.

Schaurenberg for me. He just seems to have all the things that we need badly. He's a big kid, so very likely to play straight away, he'd become a leader in the back half, excellent disposal and decision making.

He looks a more solid Grant Birchall with dual sidedness.

This is based on me not thinking Aish will get to us. I'd take Aish before Schaurenberg.

You won't be getting Sheed whether you get the pick 6 or not as that would be the condition of us trading it to you.

Sure.. wasnt the question posed though. If Sheed were available at 6, i'd take him in a heartbeat.

You'd hate for him to be gone by 11 though, wouldnt you?

Unlikely to be given your two picks won't net him, North has committed to F/S, we have been in talks with Brisbane regarding Yeo so probably know who they are targeting or won't be targeting which only leaves Melbourne to pick him up. It is a calculated gamble on our part it seems to get Yeo for free and still net our target at 11 instead of 6, could be win-win for both. Has been said you are very keen on Ben Lennon...

So you'd pass on Aish?

So you'd pass on Aish?

I'm assuming he won't be there, if Aish is there I won't argue one bit if we take him and get one of the boys around 190cm with pick 10.

THANK GOD we have another thread on this... I was worried there were dangerously few threads talking broadly about the same thing...

I think there is another thread for this type of discussion.

Actually, I think there are about 5 other threads with this type of discussion...
Someone should start a:
* Bucks can't coach thread
or
* Sinclair is shit thread

Agree, there is no arguing about this, the players we select must be 186cm mids leaving leaves me asking the question, who would you be disappointed with picking with pick 6 and 10?

The fact that there isn't a certain top 10 leaves me confused as to why we are giving away pick 31 to rise 3 spots in the draft.

Maybe everything outside of the top 10 is rubbish so why not get two top 10 picks? Or Hine obviously has his eye on something particular? Or 3 spots in the draft is going to be a huge difference in this particular crop?

Sheesh it's just a bit of fun.

Never seen any of the possible recruits play so I'd say someone who plays half back and is super clean by foot

Get a another 'Tom Boyd to Collingwood thread' going!

Maybe, this is what I'm trying to find out. I have NEVER seen a draft that's delivered all crap players in the 30s and 40s.
