Galaxy Poll shows Libs leading 51-49, with Turnbull Preferred PM over Shorten by 51% to 20%.

So the bounce is in effect.

Who the hell is getting these polls? Don't know of anyone who has ever been involved in one. It's concerning that they wield so much influence
I've had 3 or 4. All of them while being in a marginal seat.

I had one robocall under Abbott and it hung up on me as soon as I selected Labor. Probably Newspoll. :)

Think you may be wrong but thanks for very thoughtful reply.
It's accurate though. Voting is compulsory for all ages in federal elections.

States do have different rules for their own elections, i.e. In Vic for council elections you are excused if above 70yo.

You can always not vote, there are valid reasons not to.

Galaxy seem to have a systemic liberal bias, but half half seems about right. Will swing back the other way in a few polls, but expect a honeymoon period like with Rudd Gillard.

If Turnbull keeps the same policies, then the cosmetics will narrow the gap but not give libs a lead long term

Yeah vic is different in Council. Got confused as I used to drive some elderly ladies to vote but they stopped going, thought it was to do with their age.
