They both put their heads forward and push against each other with force (but not speed), the back angle looks terrible because he pulls his head away quick and it looks like he’s throwing his head forward quick from behind but the side angle shows the whole thing. I've seen the angle but as we've seen with the MRO they always go with result not the act.

I'm less worried about Tuohy and more worried about Hawkins collapsing under no pressure from Gardiner and then getting a free.

Why is it that from a bounce our forward set up in the F50 is single file , can't we mix it up and at least try one or two blokes on the edge of the arc to either grab a ball there or attempt a mark from the perpendicular.

No doubt someone would % pick him up , I was more thinking of trade capital than cap space. Would leave more of a war chest to pry out a more pressing position of need like a KPD or 2nd Ruck

I think the punishment is fair. Baz made a mistake and it has deeply cost the boys over the next couple of weeks. All he needs to do is own it and work super hard over the next couple of weeks to make up for it.

Did the structure change when we outscored them the rest of the game following the poor start?

Was the structure to blame for going 7-1 goals down or was it the reason we got back into the game?

Maybe it was another factor. Call it vigour or effort or intensity or whatever but nobody can tell me it was the same in q1 to the rest of the game.

If we had the option to change the structure could we have avoided going down 7 - 1 in the first place.? I sometimes think Bevo over complicates what essentially is a pretty simple game.
For a midfield heavy need to give them a competitive ruck at all times, look how Melbourne improved after adding Jackson now I'm fully aware Sweet is not in Jackson's class but reckon we would be better off accepting his short comings to take a somewhat competitive ruck at all times. And to also be able to really swing things around when it is going against us just my 2c worth

Lucky to get just the two. If Tuohy did that forceful contact to Baz we would be screaming for six.

Lets face to it lose to them at Marvel with no Dangerfield, Stewart injured and they lose Kolodjashnij before the game says we are not up to it. I do not think the cats are that good away from their home ground and it was a must win game. Somehow they always find away to beat us. Bevo has a won 3 games to Scott's 7 since he took over. Unfortunately, Scott is not up to it week after week... I have defended him on occasions but he was disgusting last night. Constantly over ran over the ball, fumbled and fell over. He offered now physicality whatsoever! I understand, why we need some of those players at the club, especially from a money management salary cap perspective but honestly I would rather lose one of our gun mids and free up salary cap money and use it on a genuine key defender of forward that will help us with structure.

Unfortunately, these brain fades our team is experiencing has to be a cultural thing in relation to leadership and expectations. We do it far too many times for a side that supposedly has one of the best young lists and midfields in the comp. Enough is enough...

Bevo and the coaching committee can sit there and think... sense, if we did play so poorly in the first quarter we win that!! Thats bull crap in my opinion, this happens over and over again and needs to be fixed.

Mitch Wallis isn't a super star but damn he will tackle and fight.... how in the hell is Scott or McComb a better option than him??

Surely we’re not losing much giving Bedendo a go at the role, considering the upside there too which Scott just doesn’t have. He’s as ready as Cleary who we were happy to give a go, even when we didn’t really have a need for the position
