At this point we’re just stoked to have an option that:
- isn’t a bee’s dick from retirement
- has played in a winning final
- isn’t a dickhead
Speaking of tins, Dixon seems to be hitting the beer pretty hard in his time off according to instagram. I don't have any issues with it, just unusual these days to see a professional unashamed to advertise that he's basically pub crawling around the world, rather than skiing.

I hope so too. Wines needs a big turn around to win back supporters and improve his on field performance. Last insta I saw of him was in the Phillipines on a construction site though.Saw on Insta that Boak and Wines are both in the states, long bow to draw but if Wines is there to train with Boak he'd be going a long way towards winning me back.

If it gets us some good picks (Cripps is gone), then it’s a win-win.Of course he is. Gotta have a good season to show his Vic suitors he’s worth a big money contract.
"We just had the picks tied to other trade attempts, after the others fell through we contacted port but they were already back in Adelaide. We don't really want to waste our picks on him so FA will do just fine."AFL trade wrap: Carlton confirms Wines discussion;
So there was something to those Ollie Wines rumours after all.
Sam Edmund’s report linking the Port Adelaide captain to Carlton was met with carefully-worded denials from the Power and Wines’ manager this week.
But now the trade deadline has passed, Blues list manager Stephen Silvagni has come clean.
“Ollie’s name came up,” Silvagni told SEN Breakfast. “But he was never put on the table and so it was something that was blown out of proportion a little bit.”
Out of proportion or not, Silvagni said his club would be keeping an eye on the 25-year-old midfielder.
“To be fair to Port Adelaide and Ollie he’s obviously a Port Adelaide player and a really good one,” Silvagni said.
“If he did become available in the next year or two, we would be sitting down to have discussions with Ollie.”

So apparently Wines contacted Carlton, Essendon and other unnamed clubs to entertain a move
Where there’s smoke...
How do you go from future captain in waiting as a kid to making a mockery of the club’s faith in you - still backing you after your off-field antics and on-field performances.
Ship off captain cloud and take your master coke Kenny boy with you
Ollie to follow old mate Ken (future director of coaching) up to Gold CoastIt'll be interesting to see how Cripps, Walsh and Wines go in the same midfield.

Club should never have released a statement. Now they look even more stupid about not realising our half captain was out looking for other offers
People acting on behalf of the Port Adelaide co-captain approached clubs to gauge their preparedness to cut what would have been a blockbuster trade.
Carlton and Essendon were among those to be contacted about Wines.
The denial army and spin doctors were quickly out in force in the wake of the revelation, which is understandable given the magnitude of Wines’ potential departure.
Here is a star midfielder contracted for three more years and a co-captain of his club.
The Power released a statement to tell us Wines had never requested a trade, while his management dressed it up as “clubs discuss players all the time”.
Or they could cop to lying to Port fans.Club should never have released a statement. Now they look even more stupid about not realising our half captain was out looking for other offers

Club doesn't care, they only didn't trade him out this year because the picks weren't enticing enough.Club should never have released a statement. Now they look even more stupid about not realising our half captain was out looking for other offers
