The AFL has to approve the retail sale of any item with an AFL logo on it.And it doesn't say anything about not selling black and white or Magpies branded kit.

Not an argument.Not an argument.
Not an argument.
Just like the old power rankings and those poor magic beans. The more Victorians act like dicks the more those VFL flags count for less.
Of course not, neither was the post you were responding to.
It certainly did not. It made two numbered statements. Fortunately you continue to not discuss the topic at hand, contributing to the stream of consciousness that is this thread - resulting in an instant craving of a cafe au lait from a new coffee cart.It certainly attempted to. It even made two numbered points. Unfortunately for that poster they forgot to discuss the topic at hand, resulting in an instant loss.

You haven’t been sure about anything you’ve been talking about on here at anytime, to be honest with you mate. Not really sure what you're talking about anymore, to be honest with you mate.

This is one of the weirder melts I’ve seen. This is one of the weirder melts I've seen.
They don't.Why have North Melbourne been able to have an identical guernsey to Collingwood?
Yes.Is it because they have a different colour?
They don't.If that's the case then why can Geelong and Carlton use the same colours?
With the same colours, yes.Or is it because the design of Port's is arguably somewhat vaguely similar to Collingwood?
Different colours. If that's the case then why can Richmond and Essendon have identical designs?
Not as far as I know.Did Melbourne have to get clearance from Carlton to use their guernsey with a monogram?
Eddie can't do anything. The AFL made the decision.Surely Carlton can stop other teams from using a monogram if Eddie can stop teams from using something that is not even close to Collingwood's.
So then the AFL was perfectly fine with Port selling the 2013 Prison Bar top, the 2014 Finals one... so it mustn't have broken the agreement then. The AFL has to approve the retail sale of any item with an AFL logo on it.
Thats not what the agreement says though. It says that Collingwood won't object to Port being allowed to wear it at home in Heritage rounds. And Port won't develop a retail line of those Heritage jumpers.
laymanheritage rounds don’t exist anymore? So until the AFL amend the agreement you wear the jersey.

It was read out by Cranky kornes on the footy show. The PB's can be worn in Heritage Round each year. Singular. And if there is no heritage round the clause is null and void, ie no PBs at all. Unless the pies agree to ait as a one-off. That doesnt seem likely to ever happen again after all this kerfuffle.Find the clause where it says they can't wear the PBs more often?
And it doesn't say anything about not selling black and white or Magpies branded kit. The 2007 says Port won't create a retail line of black and white striped Heritage jumpers.
It doesn't matter the AFL have no intention of letting us wear the prison bars so there is nothing to lose. The AFL will fold to Collingwood every time and this whole thing is just saying to the AFL there are more clubs in the AFL than the big 4 Melbourne clubs who get everything to maximise their income and then have the gall to turn around and say we economically support you.It was read out by Cranky kornes on the footy show. Kornes was arguing showdown was heritage round. Its clearly not, and of course Showdown happens twice a year.
And yes i agree the 2007 agreement does say no PB merch. I thought it extended to the magpie. Fair enough really, Power arent magpies so why brand merch with the Collingwood mascot? Im assuming PAFC are going to say the b&w and magpies stuff is SANFL merch. Cheekily pushing the envelope. Like donning the PBs for the song. Stirring the pot to keep the fans happy. Effectively alienating HQ, not sure thats good long term strategic planning.
See thats the thing, there is nothing in that agreement that says that Port won't wear its guernsey on more than that one specific occasion. It was read out by Cranky kornes on the footy show. It wasn't Collingwood Mascot though. That was gear specifically branded with the SANFL Port Adelaide Magpies logo. And most of the merchandise that Eddie is complaining about is all things owned by people. And yes i agree the 2007 agreement does say no PB merch. I thought it extended to the magpie.
