not meant to be a bag, but had a couple of chances to ice the game for us. Damn it. One should have been a major, and the next minute it was a major to them. ;)

Not many people played bad last night. However the absence of Richo stopped us from burying them. The umpires on the other hand, stopped us from scraping in with a win.
Don`t like to bag umpires as i believe it all sorts itself out in the end but the non-decision on Polo when he should have been paid the mark and or free kick at the end was a Barry Crocker . Hometown/crowd decision if ever i have seen one

Positives .... they will learn a lot from that loss , probably moreso than if they got away with it .

Shut up shop to early ....simple .

Just another stepping stone in our development

Not sure if anyones mentioned this yet, but I thought Patto played a pretty good game, was moving quite well for a big fella, seems to be finding his feet in the seniors which is very good for his development.

The way I saw it, if that game was at the G, we would have pumped them, I dont see how Polo grabbing the ball then having Schammer jump and fall into his back was not paid a free kick:eek: We'd won the games against Carlton, Ess, Geelong, Adelaide really narrowly, except we came out on top, had a feeling it was just a case of sooner rather than later we couldnt run out as winners.

Only problem I have is, I remember going in as favourites against the Kangaroos after narrowly losing to Port Adelaide at AAMI then getting done by the Kangaroos:mad:

Prove we've learnt from our mistakes Tiges :)

Agree wholeheartedly :thumbsu:

Waiting for a retraction of the "wet track plodder" statement Weaver . No bigger ground than Subi either

He is going to be a very good footballer that boy . Hard as Nails . Coming along nicely .

As it stands at this very minute Pattison > Stafford

Always said Pattison was tough and determined. Always said he had good stamina. Have also said that he lacks pure leg speed and can be exposed by guys running off him.

My wet-track comment was trying to explain that unlike some other big guys who struggle in the wet, he is suited to it. With the pace out of the game his weaknesses are removed. With the ability to put his big carcass in front he can contest. While the speedsters are struggling to move in the bog, his power-running sees him chug through the mud at the same speed he moves on the dry surface.

Pattison has done well in the low-tempo flooding games we have played. When the pace is out of the game he can compete. The chances of someone dashing off him are small. He isn't oblidged to burst out on the lead. All suits him well.

Bad decision by the umpire, but also bad decision by us to centre the ball to a 1-1 contest at CHB with the game on the line. Cancels each other out in my mind. We make an intellegent decision and the umpire isn't even in the game.

If we had of had A Richardson on his own or add a N.Brown, B.Deledio or A.krakeour that game was ours easier we did well with those sort of players out it makes a big difference to our side and was very proud to see these youngsters get a game and hold there own.

Glad to see Wallace has changed his policy from when he coached the Bulldogs to play the youngsters.

Wallace has plans to build a side and looks like he will be taking the tigz somewhere in the future which is great to see.

Very true .... he was under the pump and it was the wrong option .

You could see the boys were very jittery . Freo were onto us and we did not have the experience or confidence to keep attacking .

Don`t worry , they will learn a bucketload fron that one .
