I think because its just a random insult and people are saying words without meaning to reflect the original meaning.

eg gay just means lame, ****** just means loser/soft and ********er just means you done something I disagree with.

Which was the issue with Brad Johnson and co + Aker. Aker was trying to Brisbaneise Western Bulldogs. Instead they wanted to de-Brisbane him. Weird when Aker has more flags than Western Bulldogs

I am just answering a posters question which was "why would you say that sort of stuff on the football field?" I am answering the psyche of why Finlayson and Powell have said it, not encouraging it or condoning it.

You can “explain” it all you like, but I reiterate, Finlayson wasn’t referring to a bundle of sticks when he called the Essendon player in question a ******. There are plenty of other non-homophobic sounding words he could have chosen.

I am still a bit steamed about those comments btw, Jim meant so much to me in my troubled youth

Now he’s a real estate agent and once got busted mentioning to prospective buyers that the seller of a house he had listed is a domestic violence victim and their ex had just gone to jail.
