Firstly, the guys I've highlighted are either injured, or in my opinion, highly in doubt for round one. Secondly, I reckon you have One (or two) too many expensive Mids. Downgrading would enable to to spunk up your backline.

The only thing I could point out is n. Brown and j. Mulligan... keep an eye on those guys.
You seem like someone who likes a little risk (with Bradshaw and coughlan), any thoughts about getting Big Baz in there?

Firstly, Walker is out for 8 - 10 weeks.

Your midfield has too much money in it IMO. Stevens should probably be your 4th most expensive midfielder. That means atleast one rookie, with one roughy (ie someone you think will do good, and is cheap) or just put in two rookies. Also, David Myers is no certainty to play in round 1. If you want to keep him, its up to you, but I think Lachy Hansen has a better chance of playing round 1, and probably will play more games throughout the year. Also, Ellis and Roughead are not the greatest SC players. For around the same price, you'd be better off going with Maguire/Nicoski instead of Ellis, and Syliva/McGreggor/Edwards instead of Roughead.

Thats my opinion anyways.

God im bored! This is about the 5th team ive reviewed today!

Anyway, starting from defense.
Ive told everyone that will listen that I'm unsure how Ellis will go. It will make me look like a right fool if he guns it this year. Apart from that, the others arent bad, athough I havent heard anything about Collier. Edwards and Proud seem to be the other popular cheap backs you dont have.

Centres: WAY too expensive. The popular strategy (whic I believe in) is to make Stevens your 4th centre, and get 2 players less than him starting, one of which should be a first year player (or cheap equivalent). From your list I'd get rid of Bartel (b/low blues) and Judd (question mark on fitness, so you can probably get him cheaper later if you really want him.)

Rucks. They are good. Both cheap players who have a good chance of playing every game (barring injury)

Forwards: you'd hate it to be raining in every city in australia on the Weekend! They are all good players, but all low posession winners. I'd look at downgrading Lucas and Riewoldt and upgrading Hawkins.

Now that we have freed up some cash, look at upgrading players. The 3 I'd look at that havent been mentioned yet are Gardiner, Jetta and Pettigrew. Depending how much cash you have in the bank obviously determines how much you can upgrade them, but id say you could get some decent players for these three.

Get rid of Bock for someone, anyone else!

Too much cash in your mids and rucks. Get rid of One of Cox/Kosi.

Forward line is a bit too thin. Upgrade 2 of Fev/Hartlett/Reid.

Cant half tell you are a Carlton supporter Try to spread you first year players out across a few teams. It is unlikely that all those young guys from one team are likely to get a game.

I agree with most of that except,

2 Premium rucks is a fine way to go if you can fit it in. basically means you can set them and forget them for the year.

Also, Fev ain't that bad. He's a good chance of steping up this year.

However, I would definitely look at downgrading two of your mids and trying to upgrade your forwards.

Your Mids look like you missed the boat last year. Priddis, Pendlebury and Clarke. All great gets last year... not quite so good this year. (Not to say they aren't going places though.)

Cornes is also a little pricy to start the year with in my opinion.

Now, if you can downgrade some of that, you can upgrade your forwards a little.

(oh, and keep an eye on those Kangaroo backs... I don't think they will both get a guernsey with Hansen in the mix.)

Every backman apart from Cornes and Gilbee are pretty mediocre.
Solution? Start a rookie on the field in Defence and Midfield, in place of say Pearce and Mattner. I would also downgrade Dal to a cheaper player, say ~550k. This should generate about 450k in cash.
Upgrade 1 of Thompson/Tredrea (not that either are bad picks but starting both means that your team will probably get off to a pretty slow start). You could even swap one for Akermanis, who has shown more immediate good form in the pre-season. Also upgrade 1 defender. I would recommend Heath Shaw.
