post teams here. what are your thoughts

Hi all,
Been doing some more thinking (dangerous ) How would this sound as a possible backline: Cornes, Gilbee, Shaw, H., Newman, Birchall (or Johncock), Proud, S. Thompson? Is this too many rookies starting? I am thinking of using the extra cash to upgrade some players (e.g. Stanton for Dyson).

I think my ruck division may be too strong and I am not 100% sold on my back line either. Could be a risk having Gamble, Prisa, Loners and Taylor all from the Cats.

Def: Hartlett, Dawson (bench), Nicoski, Shaw, Gram, Pfeiffer(bench - swap with taylor for round 1), Mackie, Taylor, Lonergan
Mid: Deledio, Bird (bench), Stevens, Priddis, Houli (Emerg), Prismall, Dal Santo, Ablett
Ruc: Cox, Koschitzke, Kreuzer, Simmonds,
Fwd: Rioli, Pavlich, Akermanis, S.Johnson, Hawkins(EMG), Burton, J.Brown, Didak, Gamble

Perhaps the following.
Taylor for Edwards (carlton). Although that is three blue baggers in the backline. I could also put in Proud.
Mids I am pretty happy with. If Prisa plays I really like. If not then maybe another cash cow could be on the cards?
Ruc: Cox and Kossi? Is there a rookie who will play ruck so I can piss someone off and free up 100k?
Fwds I am pretty happy with.

I don't like it's odds though.

Couple of reasons. waaaaay too much money spent on the bench.

And Gumbleton is injured for a couple of weeks...

Take 2 - ditched Dal Santo for Hayes, Nash for Dyson and upgraded a couple of my forwards. Pretty happy with the team now, backline still a little weak, may do Kennelly -> Mattner and upgrade one of my backmen. Any suggestions on who? Maybe S. Fisher -> Shaw or Milburn? And do I swap out Reilly for Coughlan for future cash-cow / upgrade purposes? Decisions, decisions, decisions.

TBH this is my first supercoach attempt so I dont knwo the ins and outs of the league yet. I used to do somethign similar with some mates in the lat 90's, but I guess the points off stats must be worked out differently.

WHat sort of 'supercoach guns' shoudl I be looking for?

How would this look for a midfield: Cross, Dal Santo, Goodes, Stanton, Stevens, Houli? My main aim here is to get good scoring players and to also have a core of good players that won't need changing (assuming no injuries, etc)

Very good but be wary of how much you are spending just on your midfield

For those replacing Simmonds with Wood, what do you see Wood as? Someone to upgrade? Will he tire throughout the season? Will he average a score good enough to keep?

I'm sure Simmonds will improve and is a possible keeper.

Good backline but I'd switch S.Selwood out coz it doesn't look like he'll play much. Also I don't think Drummond is worth that price. Down grade to Gilbee, Burgoyne or Milburn or Fisher. Your choice but I'm a Gilbee fan. That'll get you at least 30k.
