R: Jolly - Ball - Pendlebury

Interchange: Alan Toovey, Dayne Beams, Steele Sidebottom

Substitute: Tyson Goldsack

Its gonna be a good year... Bring on 2011!

Edit: I left out Wellingham so added him in... Doesn't look good for Macaffer..

MM and Hine have said Taz will be played as a utility, so he takes Goldsack's spot, Toovey starts before Shaw because Shaw is more versatile while Toovey is more limited.

Edit. OH CRAP forgot Wellingham

I see it more like this

FB: Nick Maxwell - Nathan Brown - Alan Toovey
HB: Heath Shaw - Ben Reid - Harry O'Brien
C: Dale Thomas - Dane Swan - Sharrod Wellingham
HF: Alan Didak - Travis Cloke - Andrew Krakouer
FF: Steele Sidebottom - Chris Dawes - Dayne Beams
R: Darren Jolly - Scott Pendlebury - Luke Ball

Int: Ben Johnson, Brent Macaffer, Leigh Brown

Sub: Chris Tarrant

Emg: Jarryd Blair, Leon Davis, Tyson Goldsack

A very potent team on paper, looking forward to see how it all comes together next year. How you both left out Wellers is beyond me.

Yep that looks about right to me.

Perhaps the only change there may be Macaffer out Blair in but i cant argue with that team Zahki

I think this is pretty close, guess Dick comes in for Leon/Beams et al as required though I worry that N. Brown will lose his spot to Taz.

Bring on a competitive pre season: part of our success this year was competition for places, so looking forward to that then.

If Tarrant knocks out Browny I would be livid.

It seems as though Blair and Goldsack will be the first to be knocked out by our new recruits, but who knows what is going to happen. Look at Medhurst, Davis and Anthony this year. Could happen again.

I want to wait until the NAB to include Krak's or not.

Honestly can't see anyone taking the premiership off us next season on paper, we have good cover for every single line waiting in the reserves to cover for injuries.

I mean come on, our side is so good that we can't even manage to squeeze a borderline AA KPD into the 21.

Go Pies!

*Leon Davis playing his 09 role of midfield/back flank
*Harry O'Brien to play a more versitile role in playing up the ground
*Chris Tarrant to control the defence, we have so many capable defenders now and if Prestigiacomo remains then our defence is by far the strongest in the comp as it already is now
*Plenty of reserves players that will be knocking on the door every week
*I hate this new sub rule what a joke

Also, Dick is a must if he is fit. He will have to knock out one of Beams, Krakouer or Macaffer to get a spot though.
Or Tarrant as a substitute as that X-Factor to inject into games.

Can't believe how many people are leaving the Caff out, just loves to dominate the saints!

Sub Krakeour

Emerg Presti Dick Davis/Blair

Cant decide on Blair or Davis will see how they both progress if Davis can fire again him, or Blair might improve more and consolidate on a perminate basis.

Wood is his year or bust next year. If he cant break in try to trade or Delist.

I think a runner will be the sub more spots to fill if someone goes down also we have the versatility of throwing Tarrant back if a key back goes down and Krakouer forward or otherwise Krackeour replaces both forwards and midfielders. 2 rucks in selected 21.

If Krak doesn't make the transition well, you'd take him out, move Beams/Sidebottom to half forward and put Dick in the pocket. Remains to be seen whether he will adjust I guess, but I see no reason he won't be up to speed by the end of the NAB Cup. Other players picked from the WAFL adjusted fairly well, Krak should be fine.

Yeah I also think Browns spot is up for grabs. You would have to think that it would be a waste if we play Tarrant anywhere but FB. Was close to AA in 09 and was good this year before his injury. Funny, we have about 9 senior players cut and our squad still is very very deep.

I'm still hoping McCarthy, Rounds and maybe even J Thomas get some games in this year too and maybe, just maybe Ceglar will take Jolly's position... jk! no but really...

we have 30 players if presti goes on who can cope well at an afl level. and all who have performed or shown they will be good footballers.

There are so many blokes who can impact us next season, neonleon could play all 22 games if he knuckles down, could also play as the sub as an xfactor.

Bench, where the second Maccaffer is, I love Caff that much I suppose. xD

No, I just forgot to change the name, but that was my intention. He doesn't have a forgettable face since seeing him in that fairy outfit.

Can't believe how many people are leaving the Caff out, just loves to dominate the saints!

I love Le Caff.... but he doesn't really have a defined role other than perhaps a negating half forward.... Which we will definately need against teams like St. kilda, Geelong and the Bulldogs.

I just think he would be somewhere in the middle of these of our "fringe players":

Tyson Goldsack
Jarryd Blair
Brent Macaffer
Leon Davis
Andrew Krakouer

There's really only room for 2 and I would put goldsack's versatility as a priority as well as Krakouer's skills, that is of course if he can find similar form at AFL level... Though i'm not on the selection panel

This is spot on IMO. Leaving N Brown out of the team would be a very very costly long term decision I'd think. N Brown would be much more likely to field offers from GWS after being the premiership full back and then being dropped for Taz. Taz is a much more AFL ready and more versatile player then Goldsack so I'd assume he takes Goldy's spot.

Macaffer is more versatile than goldsack. He's better in the midfield. Infinitely better up forward and if given the opportunities I have no doubt that he would also be a better defender. Like Taz, Macaffer would make a grerat substitute, but i'd prefer him in the 21.

Wrapped we got Tazz and Krakouer!! But the Question is......

Sooooo wrapped we got Tazz and Krakouer!! But the Question is......

Who's spot do they take? Who out of the premiership team's spot is shakey?
Now also with the new Sub rule it essentially brings that downt to 21 players.

Id personally love to see Leon, Dick and Krak all in the one team, along with Taz, presti, N brown and Reid (my theory is that they will play taz at full forward again, and play cloke at CHF and Dawes on the wing)

But who out of the 22 premiership team misses out?
I know you are all gonna say forget leon, but i just think the 3 indigenous boys can create havock... Leon really lifted when Dick was in the team sharing goals between them....

Your thoughts?
