I don't mind your reasoning. However, definitely your forward line needs beef, and I'd trim it from your def.

I personally wouldn't trust Mayes to score well, and Patfull has never been a high fantasy scorer. I think getting a gun + rook in for those two would be better.

Alright moved a couple of things around a bit, don't mind the look of it at all. Pretty well jumping between Salem and Griffen or Van Berlo and Swan. Currently seeing more upside in the first option. Don't really want anything to do with Luey at the moment either, so I made sure I could bring in that Jacobs set and forget. Gray is setting things a light, in for a big season imo and I selected him over Goddard accordingly. A little gutsy, but should give me a little pod. Heppell has slowly become more and more the forgotten man as the preseason progresses and other unique options pop up. Hopefully thats the right one

Is there a RDT app?
Yep. It's been updated from last year. A bit easier on the eye and the iPad one is good, uses the real estate a bit better except for the big google ad in it.

Heppell is a lock for me if the verdict is ok.
No love for Swan? I fully expect Swan to be around 100 avg this year. Gray > Buddy for me.

POD mainly the only reason, if swannie is in 70% of teams I hoping to bank on a bad start on his behalf. Figure I might as well try a few things this year, see if I can really make a rally for it haha

Yeah that F3 spot is still very much undecided though, Goddard, buddy and swan all could be there by season start :D

Second option is easily best IMHO. Salem is not a good DT scorer, good player, but his style is not DT friendly. NVB will without doubt make you cash though. Swan could easily be a top scoring FWD, and you'll be behind the eight-ball from day one if that happens. Griffen, like all GWS mids, has the problem of too many mouths/hands to feed, so I don't see him putting up consistent big numbers and don't see great value here. Just my two cents, for the record I have NVB and Swan currently.

I like your defense though, mine is almost identical.

I have toyed with the idea of Zorko. A decent midfield, which he will go through every now and then will give slightly better service than last year.
I just worry because they have a decent midfield that zorks may even stay forward for 90% of the game! Decicions!!!

How do i cut and paste my team in here so it appears as an image..

anyway the team i have atm, i know needs some work especially in the backline as I will probably have some zeros if i leave it like it is.

* J Kelly (WB), D Violjo-Rainbow (Car)

Midfield - Rockcliffe (Bris), Pendles (Coll), C Ward (GWS) Gibbs (Car), Prestia (GCS), De Goey(Coll), Heeney (Syd) Freeman (Coll)
* Morabito (Freo), Boekhurst (car) T Miller (GCS)

Rucks - Natanui (WC), Grundy (Coll) * M King (Melb)

Forwards - R Gray (PA), D Martin (rich), Swan (Coll), T Mitchell (Syd), C Salem (Melb), J Hogan (Melb)
* J Leverde (Ess) C Daniel (WB)

I'm staying away from Rockliff's initial price, he should come down but have a look at the Suns first 5 games and tell me you still want to keep Ablett out, especially with his lower price this year.
Ablett being in doubt for round 1 with the shoulder is his main concern I reckon

Post NAB team. I've got quite a few uniques in there which I like, should keep the season interesting.

This team is also assuming that the Essendon players cop a somewhat substantial ban. If they're available, Shaw becomes Hibberd, Smith becomes Bellchambers, Kavanagh becomes Anderson and Dalgleish becomes McIntosh or Hamling.

Shaw: Haven't seen him in many teams, but with the dearth of defensive options this year I'm happy with a guaranteed 80-ish who could push up to 85-90 with a bit of luck and with some improvement in GWS's form.
Hunt: Super fit and reportedly to be played in a more attacking role at Richmond. He can't kick, so opposition teams won't put much effort into stopping him. Wouldn't touch him in SC but he's a good chance at putting up some decent scores in RDT.
Griffen: Looks to be happy again and in good nick at GWS. Not expecting miracles but if he can average 100-105 which isn't beyond him then he's a pretty good keeper M8 at that price. Alternatively, he has a Round 13 bye which makes him easy to trade out mid-year if he's not quite putting up the scores I want.
Kavanagh: Has scored pretty well during the NAB as one of Essendon's leading midfielders by default. Wouldn't touch him if a not guilty verdict comes in, but should be a handy cash cow for the first few rounds if a not guilty verdict comes in.
Ellis-Yolmen: I don't rate him as a player at all because his skills are crap, but he's hit form at the right time and Crouch and/or Thompson look likely to miss Round 1 to open up a spot for him.
Smith: Has been a clear #1 ruck at GC over the preseason and scored well in 2 out of the 3 games, they have a pretty easy run to start the season, and I don't trust Leuenberger at all. Will look to upgrade him to whoever looks like being the #1 scoring ruck for the year.
Karnezis: No certainty to be picked for Round 1 (I can swap Dalgleish for a cheaper defender and upgrade Karnezis to Cameron McCarthy if need be), but will be in my side if he is. Most people on the Collingwood board have him in their best 22. Could be a case of 'fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me' but his upside is so huge that I'm willing to take the risk at that price.

Probably fairly different to most but Im pretty happy at this stage.

Weakish def but the first 2 should be keepers, with potential for one of the others to become a D6. Fwds super strong, just so many good options, points galore.

Goldstein looks the best ruck option to me, with Smith the pick of the midpricers (could become Giles with the Ess situation or Kreuzer with fitness).

The mids will be big differentials. Lewis, Pendles and Parker I reckon will be top 6 mids this year, one could become Fyfe/Beams. Selwood looked great today, though still tossing up between he and Neale. Wells and Wallis are the big risks, but with most having the Rich/NVB/Newton combo, I just see similar earning potential and much better scoring potential with these two and a bottom price rook onfield.

^looks great mate!

Just not sure about starting no rockliff/ablett, HUGE risk IMO. Will be justifiable if Ablett is not named...but if he is named then HUGE HUGE risk.

Also loving the Bewick pick! I recon he will be great this year, i am strongly considering him also :).

Like some of your PODs but you have to work out how many of them will be keepers, particularly down back and in midfield, you could be rage trading some of them out by round 2 and miss the boat on a bolter who you might miss.

Lewis, Pendles, Parker, Gray, Goldstein are all great choices but too many gambles in between, would maybe spend less down back and go 5 premos + a Cripps or something in midfield

FWIW I have those premos myself and virtually the same forward line etc Bonti

Post NAB Cup team

On the Bontempelli hype train but I may need to sacrifice him if some rookies aren't in the round 1 frame, etc downgrade him to a Salem then upgrade a Blakely to a Cripps.

Preparing for Gazza not to be fit for round one and I'm not wasting points waiting for him to come back and cop a rankings hit and Rockliff is too expensive, if Rocky was at his SC price of 709k I'd consider but the extra 50k is way too steep, so I've selected players who should be 105+ avg keepers in midfield instead, I'm big on Mitch Duncan also, think he'll average more than Jelwood this year, I may downgrade Priddis to him to free up some more cash.
