If anything, the fact he only had a big 5 minutes is what a lot of people have been critical on Rioli about.

Yeah, but it was a pretty delicious 5 minutes - picked up 26 disposals, 16 contested (most on the ground), 5 tackles, 4 clearances, and a couple of goals. That's a delicious 5 minutes in anyone's book.

So I really used to enjoy big footy but now I've come to realise it is cluttered by a heap of low life, keyboard warrioring, bigot, small poppy syndrome people who are so deluded by their own club prejudices and they turn the whole website into a massive troll fest. This being said Cyril was one of the best for is tonight, yet you could write a book with amount of hate directed at him over his time.

Shat himself twice when he saw Dangerfield on the mark... Was thinking of playing on the decided, correctly, not to.

I don't recall seeing Dangerfield take Rioli on.

I did see Dangerfield take Ben Stratton on though..........:D

Nah he's one of those flakey soft aborigional types

Very creative up forward, took a very strong mark to put us up in front and speaks volumes when at the end demanded he go in the center bounce and mitchell made way for him. Stood up and was clean with his disposal and won most contests he was in, the exact opposite to most of our players tonight

Yeh, ya gotta laugh when people pay out mid-match on a champ like Rioli - it's always likely to come back to bite you.

May have been lucky to be AA, but he's a joy to watch and while I'm hoping we can keep him quiet this week, will also be delighted to see him play live again.

Hatred for Rioli is mind-blowing. He had a freakin great game, consistent attack on the ball, set up a lot of play, and a threat up forward all night.

You can be assured that the Swans coaching staff will not gloss over his impact like BF does, and will make stopping him a priority.

The media do lose their shi* over him frequently which is tiring, but I personally won't let that stuff stop me enjoying watching the great/amazing players like him play. And I won't it influence my opinion on his output either.

He's a marvel to watch. Supremely skilled player. Probably is overrated by the media, but he showed tonight, and many other times, that he can turn it on when it matters. Like Milney, he does seem like an arrogant little douche, but he's certainly got the game to back it up.

That, and people were criticising his selection in the AA team, a team based on H&A season form, anything he produces in finals is irrelevant.

26 touches in 5 minutes is big.

Now I'm seriously giving a wtf....

Seems like about the most humble bloke playing AFL. Quiet, shy, unselfish, unassuming. Seriously wtf?
Happy to canvas opinions from other neutral followers, but I'd wager that I'm not alone in my opinion there. Could be a great bloke off the footy field (though I don't like those reports about him deliberately interviewing poorly pre-draft with certain clubs,) but definitely carries himself with a pretty major air of arrogance on the ground. Not that that's a bad thing, but isn't especially endearing to opposition fans.

Without even a hint of bias, I could not disagree more.

Ever tried giving yourself head? You sound the likely type.

I've read some crap about Rioli in the past, but to label him arrogant, or imply that he is some sort of Mitch Thorp-esque flog who drinks his own bathwater couldn't be any further from the truth.

He's one of the most quietly spoken and humble blokes you could meet.
