Salary Cap: $100

i've changed my mind and swapped sloane for cotchin, more of a safer bet. i just think cotchin will show us why he will be a star player this year and average 100. i'm being a bit different and have strategies i already have prepaid throughout the year. i'm happy with this team

i got rid of cotchin, and put deledio in the midfield, and then moved him into the backline, and i landed suckling for goddard. so i got 4 premuim backs now. looks more settled and balanced. i'll target goddard at the byes and berger as well for the ruck with cox

My concern is I have a lot of players coming back from injury in my back line. If they play then the price will increase a fair bit. Any comments?

Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Pears, Lake, Conca, Dempsey, Hargrave
N Brown B Ellis

Mids: Pendlebury, Ablett, Murphy, Goodes, Lucas, Coniglio
Wingard McDonald

Rucks: Sandilands Mumford
Giles, Stephenson

Forwards: Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Butcher, Rohan, Prop, Walsh
Smedts Crozier

I may be wrong but I heard Conca is potentially injured. Otherwise i want him in my team lol. I want both Hargrave and Lake in my team but I think its safer to go with one (maybe Lake).

I like your mids, although I personally tend to upgrade to goodes mid season as he performs better in the 2nd half and with the oppurtunity I will be slotting him in the foward line.

Rucks are great!

I would look at other players than butcher and Rohan turn them into one great player and one rookie (Hall? D.Smith (GWS)? would be my options as i believe they will be the highest avging foward rookie priced lads along with couch)

Here is my altered team:

DEF:
GODDARD, SHAW, DELEDIO, BIRCHALL, GRIMES, LAKE, BUGG
Ellis, Darley

MID:
PENDLEBURY, BOYD, ABLETT, SLOANE, CLIFTON, C.SMITH
Miles, Magner

RUCK:
JACOBS, GILES
Stephenson, J.Redden

FWD:
FRANKLIN, FYFE, MARTIN, SIDEBOTTOM, DANGERFIELD, PORPS, D.SMITH
A.Hall, Couch

Tossing up whether to keep Dangerfield in my team or not, and cant decide between hargrave and Lake..
I like the look of sloane in my mids, but by the end i will be wanting my mids to be 110+ and im not sure if he will meet that and maybe shouldnt waste a trade on him.. Banking on Grimey to stay healthy but wont hold my breath. will be happy if he makes me enough coin to do a straight trade to someone reliable by the time he gets injured.

All comments are much appreciated!!!!

Thanks - I had Watson for Goodes only because Goodes is a duel position player. Just another curve ball from the AFL. Not sure how it will play out.

Grimes has been ruled out of round one - maybe keep an eye on how long he may miss. Not convinced about Dangerfield - just does not score. He needs to get a hold of the ball more often. What he does when he has it is great but not enough for me. I think Solane is an inspired choice - like Suckling last year if you can get onto a player that not many people have it can be a real winner. End of the day if he does not work out you can sell a Rookie that has increased in price and get a premium mid in.

I have watched Lake the last 2 weeks and he looks back to 2010. I think he is a must have player. He reads the play well and will be used as the spare man in defence.

I like 2 premium rucks that I will not have to touch all year. No need to upgrade and waste a trade. It is just 1 area that does not need any attention. I then like to have 6 premium mids fairly quickly and spend the year building the backs and forwards up.

You are not far off being very strong.

For the third time...

Goddard, Shaw, Deledio, Birchall, Waters, Hargrave, Ellis (Mohr, Bugg)

Swan, Ablett, Rockliff, Selwood, Smith, Magner (McDonald, Gibson)

Leuenberger, Giles (Redden, Stephensen)

Johnson, Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Porplyzia, Saad, Kerridge (Treloar, Walsh)

Thoughts?

Not a bad effort mate.

I'm not sure Saad and Kerridge will play round 1?? (correct me I'm wrong) They look to me more like fringe players at best. Treloar is injured and may miss and Walsh has been really poor in the nab cup so far, he played a whole half and got 3 points.

You should probably spend less $$ on your premiums across the board and that may let you upgrade saad to dangerfield and that will give your more job security.

I had Gibson on my mid bench at one stage, but the North faithfuls don't think he will play round 1. Maybe look at someone like Clifton instead.

Def: Scotland, Goddard, Otten, Shaw, McGuane, Tomlinson, Webberley (BU: Browne, Davis)
Mid: Ablett, Beams, Mzungu, Ziebell, Palmer, Pearce (BU: Pfeiffer, Woodward)
Ruc: Cox, Fraser (BU: Hickey, Daw)
For: Johnson, Cloke, Schneider, Podsiadly, McKernan, Walters, Couch (BU: Ferguson, Folau)

Who can I chance in my squad?

Thanks for the advice ive made some changes how does this lineup look?

Backs:

Cox, Jacobs (Redden, J Giles)

Franlkin, Fyfe, Cloak, D Martin, Dangerfield, Porplyzia, D Smith (I Folau, A hall)

first crack at DT, your thoughts?????

I've gone for a shocking ruck combination, to try and be fairly strong in the other positions, particularly midfield. Don't feel confident enough in many of the rookie defenders and forwards to start them.

Enright, Birchall, Broughton, Burgoyne, Lake, Hargrave, M Clarke (Mohr, Bohmann)

Pendlebury, Ablett, Selwood, M Murphy, Hayes, Coniglio (Wingard, J McDonald)

Z Smith, Giles (Stephenson, Redden)

Franklin, Cloke, Martin, Dangerfield, Porpoise, S Byrnes, D Smith (GWS) (Zorko, A Kennedy (GWS)

Thoughts?

BACKS: Goddard, Shaw, Birchall, Broughton, Hargrave, Ellis, Darley

MIDFIELD: Swan, Boyd, Ablett, Bartel, Masten, Miles

RUCKS: Minson, Redden

FORWARD: Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, Martin, Sidebottom, Porplyzia, D.Smith

One of the better sides I've seen posted. Rucks are obvious weakness, but I think all of your other areas are very strong.

I'm always deciding whether to take the punt on Minson or play it safe with Cox. If Minson can average at least 80-85 then it will be a risk worth taking; anything greater is a bonus.

Also, whether to downgrade Broughton to Duffield and use the money elsewhere - ie. to maybe swap Minson for McEvoy?

Backs:
Goddard, Scotland, Carrazzo, Birchall, Hanley, Hargrave, Ellis
Subs: L.Brown, Darley

Mids:
Ablett, Boyd , S.Thompson, Clifton, Miles, Magner
Subs Horsley, Shiel

Rucks:
Cox, McIntosh
Subs Giles, Redden

Forwards:
S.Johnson, Fyfe, Martin, Higgins, D.Smith, Smedts, Cameron
Subs Kerridge, Couch

Almost 350k left over

Plans:
Franklin in after 5-7 rounds when hes dropped by 80k
Leuenbeuger in after the bye for McIntosh
Swan, Pendlebury into mids after 10-12 rounds

your thoughts?!

Backs
Goddard, Broughton, Duigan, Hargrave, Mc Donald T, Dawson Z. Subs Yagmoor and need help with my last one.
Mids
Harwood, Swan, Ablett, Goodes, Selwood J, Pavlich, Subs Magner and need another rookie
Rucks
Mumford and McIntosh with Jenkins and Redden
Forwards
Franklin, Kennedy J, Cloke, Anthony J, Martin, Saad, Kerr R, with Sexton adn Dickson the subs.

Any advice/help would be great, got 175k left over to play with

I've made about a thousand changes of the course of the past six weeks or so, and this is the current side. It's slightly speculative in areas but there's $200k in the bank that will probably be halved by the start of the season.

Backs: Goddard, Birchall, Broughton, Waters, Lake, Hargrave, M.Clarke, (B. Ellis, Webberley)
Mids: Ablett (C), Watson, Bartel, Sloane, I.Smith, K.Stevens, (C.Smith, A.Miles)
Rucks: Cox, Redden, (Giles, Stephenson)
Forwards: Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Gray, Callinan, D.Smith, Pfeiffer, (Milera, Kerridge).

Isaac Smith is one that I believe will benefit greatly if the Hawks dominate the league like many are expecting. He plays that half-forward role where he pushes up on the wing and gets a lot of easy ball.

I think Robbie Gray will break out this year and I a believe he will be one of the top forwards if he does.

Feedback appreciated.
