Thoughts?

My main concerns lie with the bolded players. Kosi is too inconsistent (or some would some consistently low scoring) for mine.
Sherman is Sherman. Hence the concern. Change of clubs could do him good.
Bartram has never struck me as a great points scorer and Cheney has never struck me as a chance of breaking into first 22.

As a fellow and massive Eeagles fan. Safe to that LeCras will spend most of the year forward again. Hes our best forward and we would be crazy not to play him 80% of the time there.

The art/luck of DT, is picking the midpriced players that have break out years!

Its a shame, as I think he could be a very good midfielder, but having said that, he is an excellent forward.

Zac Clarke? Is he going to play ahead of Jon Griffin?
Foley - Injury risk. Id downgrade him to a rookie, start mzungu on the field and use the extra cash on upgrading hale
Hale - As far as Im aware, he isnt guaranteed a first 22 spot. select with caution

I'm banking on the change of clubs to trigger a big year for sherman, so there lies a gamble I guess. I originally had Brad Miller in the forward line but traded to Kosi, maybe Milller is the better option.... Any suggestions on a backline trade?

I toyed with the idea of Sherman, but I have gambled heavily elsewhere, so I decided against him, but can see the potential upside.

The tiges will no doubt play miller, and I reckon he is a better option than Kosi, but its hard to say how he will go.

have a look at Petrenko from adelaide. may well play alot of footy down back for the crows. Neil Craig has finally admitted that he is best suited down there. gave him ten minutes down there against the hawks last year and tore them apart to the point where a tag was needed.

Robbie Tarrant looked really good on the weekend, too. Cheap, at 122500. Injury prone, but looks set to play a bit of footy.

Mitch Clark probably wont play in the ruck this year, rather up forward... interesting to see how he goes... Try Petrie. Out for round 1 i think, but if you can get through that, then you can use him and he is a better option for you.

Far too many West Coast players. I know it's hard to be objective when selecting, but for instance in your ruck, when West Coast have a bye, you won't have enough cover on your bench.

The only issue with Mumford is Seaby coming back and taking points of him. Saying that though, he's in my team atm.
Your forwards are a little weak imo, so your suggestion has merit.

Hmm, Astbury or Hurley? Hurley is currently my 7th forward with Astbury on the bench, and i think he's just a bit too expensive to sit on the bench when I could just grab a decent rookie, my midfield looks like it needs a bit of upgrading so the spare cash would be handy.

don't think Hurley will be a big point scorer. Don't know about Astbury either. I'm looking at Zaka as a 6th fwd but I might go back to Knights.

Currently got a hole up forward with $337k spare cash. Need another gun in there, which you can't get for that cash imo.

Meh as long as they can get 60-70 avg that's all I'm asking from a 7th forward, and both look like they can fill that hole. Both did pretty well Round 1 NAB, and I have a feeling Essendon players are going to do well after that showing in the NAB Cup, Hird looks to have drilled them well. Astbury also showed a lot of promise and is almost guaranteed 22 games so it's hard.

What I mean is, what would your 7 backs average as a total over the whole 7. Midfielders, forwards, rucks etc.

Whats a good total points scored for each postion, and also what sort of percentage of total points would each line normally score. I asume this would change week by week, but what is normally the highest scoring line etc.

Sorry if the wording is confusing.

Agree.

I would downgrade ROK to Zaharakis as he will prove to be a kepper and use the cash from downgrading Petrie. Turning in Gaff to a preium.

Gaff will be eased through the WAFL or used as a sub with him playing full games in second half of the year.

Do you still downgrade to Hale if you expect to be able to cover Petrie for round 1?

If your main plan is to use Petrie as cover for your rucks, is Hale an acceptable alternative?

I would look at swapping mzungu into midlfield in place of Conca. As he looks to be a while away from debut and have krakouer in the forward line.

I know 2050 is no longer an awesome score but I'd say if we use that as a start.

600 from defence, 580 from mids, 170 from rucks, 600 from forwards would be an acceptable start. (the other 100 from wherever your captain is) You obviously want to build on that but it depends on where you spend your cash early. By late rounds you should be trying to get at least 95 on average per player with 110 ish from captain which gives you a base score of 2200. But who knows it depends what happens
