Absolutely horrible uniques.

Absolutely horrible uniques.

A bit harsh, but does have point with Greenwood.
Kennedy could have some good form like he has shown before 2009. Simpson was great to have in your team last year and personally im not picking him again.

Very Harsh, the only unique that I thought was horrible is banfield. Could make arguments for the rest of them. For example have a look at levi's role thr last few rounds, not bad for a defender.

It's not very harsh. There's no point pointing out the obvious and saying wow. Good pick taking Swan, Joey, Chappie and GOD. The team is RUINED by the shit picks taken after them e.g. Jacobs, R. Campbell, really injury prone defense, Kade Simpson at top dollar. No idea why they are taking Gilbert in fwds when they should be taking Riewoldt. Due to byes you will be losing whatever the difference in scores between Gilbert and Riewoldt purely due to this setup. And i don't care about where you invested the price difference because i can't see it.

I only count 11 premiums. That is WEAK.

Campbell Is a 4th ruck...are you expecting 22 games from your 4th ruck at a decent average? Simpson at top dollar, so what, he may be happy to pay for the points and durability.

As for voldt, I like him this year but you dont ned every single premium from the start. Voldt has traditionally started slow, maybe he thinks it'll be the case again.

Just because bf likes certain players doesn't mean teams with different players are horrible, especially when thoughts seemed to have gone into the team selection. The group think pressure on here is incredible.

Also the adcock/otten combo is no worse injury wise than mal/waters/goose from last year, was that a horrible defence?

Currant team-

Def- Goddard, Gibbs, Gilbert, Greenwood, Otten, Heppell, Faulks (Tape, Puopolo, Duigan)

Mid- Swan, Boyd, Montagna, Scotland, Martin, Mzungu (Swallow, Bennell, Polec)

Ruck- Sandilands, Jacobs (Petrie, Campbell)

Fwd- Chapman, Franklin, Harvey, Zaharakis, Knights, Krakouer, Smith (Prestia, Richardson, Callinan)

My team at the moment, any feedback would be appreciated.

Kade Simpson at top dollar.

Maybe, maybe not. You can mount a case for him having value and the capability to up that average. Then factor in his durability and a potential improvement from the Blues, he could pay dividends. He's got a very good DT game, an outside runner with a good kick to handball ratio and isn't afraid to tackle. He's is a very underrated player but towards the latter part of the year, teams/coaches started to realise his importance. He had a fair few run with players put on him even with the likes of Judd and Murphy around so his average suffered a little. Obviously the issue here is whether teams will continue to concentrate on Simpson on occasions or again let him slip under the guard. If it's the latter, he's got value.

For me though he'll get attention even with Judd, Murphy and now Gibbs in the middle. We don't have a great deal of speed and players who run the lines, he's an important player.

First team of the year

Backs: Goddard, Lake, Gibbs, Deledio, Stratton, Otten, Puopolo (Heppell, Duigan, Watson)

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Boyd, Hayes, Swallow, Gaff (Conca, Harris, Atley)

Rucks: Sandilands, Fraser (Bailer, McCauley)

Forwards: Chapman, Silvia, Riewoldt, Kights, Anthony, Petrie, Krakouer (Mzungu, Richardson, Smith)

Thoughts?

Okay I've done some swapping:

Goddard - Scotland - Deledio - Duffield - Grimes - CCornes - Otten - Duigan (Toy, Faulks, Puopolo)

Swan - Boyd - Gibbs - McGlynn - Heppell - Callinan (Swallow, Harris, Weller)

Cox - Petrie (Smith, Derickx)

Chapman, Franklin, Sylvia, Riewoldt, Yarran, Krak, Mzungu (Tippett, Matera, Smith)

313k in the bank. Remember that I'm going expensive and cheap and I have 13 premiums alongside Grimes and McGlynn, who I have added for flexibility although I'm thinking about a fit Higgins, who has burned me before though. I've also picked 17 premiums and have six starting, but I feel Otten, Callinan, Duigan and Krak are mature aged certainties to start and Mzungu and Heppell aren't much of a risk. My forwardline drops off but I don't like the list of forwards, no-one really stands out for me (bar Rioli, but it's a risk having two Hawthorn forwards who can't move).

Should I upgrade? And where I wonder... Or maybe I should use my money to trade a rookie to premium using only one trade?

Cosmo you can save some money on Lake and put it in to your 3rd ruck. My understanding of things is that Lake is out injured for the early stages of the year. I think you'll need some better backup in the rucks with fraser your #2.

Strong midfield which makes the Ablett selection easier to handle for Rd 1.

wouldnt pick ablett round 1. here is more of a upgrade later down the track(due to bye round 1). i dont know about fraiser. there are much better options then him. you better believe it.

Not sure if tippett will score well this season i am thinging about getting rid of him

tippet was the worst pick of 2010. wouldnt touch him ever again after last year. shows how inconsistent he really is. didnt show much in the nab either. getting a -1.

First draft for my 2011 AFL Dream Team:

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, L Greenwood, Adcock, A. Otten, D. Heppel. (P.Faulks, P. Puopolo, N Duigan)
Centres: Swan, Montagna, Simpson, D. Swallow, J. Polec, Krakouer. (S. Atley, I. Smith, M Wallis)

Forwards: Chapman, Sylvia, Goodes, Gilbert, Zaharakis, J. Kennedy, Banfield. (T. Lynch, J Darling, I Callinan).

Thanks for any advice!

Jacons is average at best, Campbell is on the rookie list so not guaranteed any games for now. Zaharakis, Kennedy, Banfield & Greenwood absolutely terrible picks

All I can say is thank god it isnt round 1 yet. Alot of work needs to be done to fix this team up.

hey guys, only been dreamteaming a couple of years, have a rough squad at the moment with plenty of tinkering to do, any thoughts would be much appreciated :thumbsu:

Mids: Hayes, Boyd, Pendlebury, D.Thomas, N.Foley, D.Swallow (D.Harris, S.Atley, I.Smith)
