Potential training breach?

Not sure if anyone heard Simon Birmingham on AA this morning. At the end of the segment was asked of his thoughts around the training situation (he's evidently an avid Crows supporter). I was expecting a restrained, diplomatic response, but instead he just cut loose, decrying it as a ridiculous, unfair position being taken by the AFL. Can't recall word for word what he said, but the terms 'control freaks' and 'Vic-centric AFL administration' (or derivatives of those) were definitely used.

This coming from national Minister for Trade (who was being interviewed in that context). I'm not a big fan of the Libs, but did thoroughly enjoy his rant (as did Pembo and Will).

Can someone send these to the club. Should be used in the penalty negotiations, ie - if you punish us, we only accept it if these people are punished too. Or, you know, maybe just a warning for everyone, like it should have been all along. The dogs in particular are actually breaking the law in Victoria

He's actually a Port fan but goes to both teams matches. Good on him for calling it what it is.

And this "competitive advantage" bullshit they keep going on about is total bullshit as well even Dunstall said that.
10 minutes of kick & catch. Flag is ours!

Where's the fairness for clubs quarantining? FFS.
Tom Browne said on twitter this morning that its bad luck, just have to train with who is ready, should have known this was coming.
Seriously, what a massive flog. The sad thing is he can't even see the contradiction in what he is saying now and a week ago

What I quoted is out of the premier's mouth: what's going on?

According to the Herald Sun, the state government has granted the AFL an exemption that allows training in large groups. The limit of 10 applies to non-professional sport training. The Age is also reporting this, stating that the "exemption" hasn't been detailed, but that the group of 10 and non-contact rules apply to the general public.

AFL.com.au appears to have this wrong

Na I in the lucky predicament of having Crows and AFL membership, So it's my AFL one that will go,
Those who don’t learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat it
original quote is
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it "

But the import part most forget,
Learn from History Don't Live it. And no battle is ever won living in the past.

Rob Chapman loves this post a trillion times......would be music to his ears.

Supporters that don't care about the track record.....geesus.

No wonder he thinks he's gods gift to the AFC.
Bull When the time comes to act you act.
But that does not mean we have to put up with people living in the past every day,
Because most of those who complain rarely do anything but complain,
And Yea History is full of people who complained. but nobody remembers them people only remember the one who acted.

While I think a warning would have been enough...

I'm sort of looking forward to the bullshit excuse they give when punishing us and letting everyone else off.

Whats this magical technicality that means we should pay hundreds of thousands of dollars or lose draft picks while everyone else gets let off.

Not just from the AFL, where is the big expose on these other cases? Sam McClure hasn't tweeted about football since the 8th, what's he even doing about it?

Adelaide, big story, healthy enough, wont argue, let's make an example of them, somebody else has done it too? yeah ok sorry Adelaide just a warning this time.

I kind of want the sanctions for us, and for everyone else who has done it (probably every team at some point has had 3 players catch up for a bit of private training), not because I think we deserve them, but like I said earlier, we shouldn't get away with something just because the AFL doesn't want to punish other teams.

At least name and shame the other clubs while letting us off the stupid charges.

Even if we do get away with it, something that everyone has probably done, people won't forget the Barossa "camp".

Well this whole thing sounds utterly ******ed, can’t they all train but be few metres from each other. FFS.
or does the coach have to phone it in from isolation.
According to Nicks, he was off doing something else, They Book out 4 Holes that's a lot of ground for One Person.

End of the s does not matter, because he most likely not going to be there next year,

What a load of Crap, I guess getting on your BF soapbox will fix the world, Well I got news for you, it will not,
You Learn, you React and you Move Forward the always another battle. you don't live in the Pass.
Thanks for the life lesson Qui Gon Jin but our club never learns from it's mistakes so fans are stuck in an eternal loop where they constantly have to live with their mediocrity.
