Potential training breach?

I'm confident enough, however he's survived the cut before. I mean the clubs still don't know what the cuts look like, all they know is that there will be cuts.

footy dept cuts may mean the game will be less coached, less structured and played more on instinct

with less roles it will also provide a more competitive market, few resources but higher quality resources

I have no idea but you would presume given Karl Langdon is a former WCE player and hosts a radio program over there he'd be speaking with some authority. Maybe the players don't meet the WA Government's criteria for testing...i.e. showing symptoms etc?
Maybe the Gov doesn't want to give AFL players special privileges - outrageous right!

Could add a mental strength training element as well. Something that really challenges the group and gets them out in to the wilderness. I think we should put Ben Hart in charge of finding a group to run it.

Can't see anything that could go wrong.

I think playing the club songs of successful recent sides could also work as a motivating tool.
Maybe some sort of sensory deprivation device as well to really enhance the experience.

I'd suggest the 'don't question the coach' rule is hard to break
If the coach was in his room as reported, and we only broke the rules for 15 minutes on the 3rd day of their quarantine..... then they're dumb.

And if anything goes wrong, we can just wheel out Adam Kelly and Matty Nicks to let everyone know it's all sorted and "there are no lingering issues with our playing group and with our staff from that camp. That's all our fans need to know ... we've got a playing group that is happy. "

Would they know what the club has and hasn’t got clearance for?
Of course they would. The club provided them, and the AFL with a set of guidelines as to what we were going to do.

Either they don't watch the news, which is entirely possible, or they thought you couldn't have more than 2 people standing next to each other in a drill.

Hart takes responsibility of trying to convey those instructions. He failed and so did the senior players.

Interesting that Sloaney made a point of saying you can't single out Tommy Doedee.

Sly check on Roo's comments?

But also said you can't single out Hart. Can't agree with that. He was the authority on the ground.

WA has the worst testing rates of the entire country, why are they still so strict on testing?
Their public pathology labs are quite as high tech as the rest of the country, can't handle the same scale.

I think I saw you can order private Covid-19 tests online for $128 but WA wasn't included.

But surely they have some access to private testing?

Anyway, I expect that the non-Victorian clubs will end up doing what they have to do with little fuss or sympathy.

I'd be surprised if the season even happened if games couldn't be played in Victoria this year.

And no one said "Wait can we do that??"

Seriously if our players are that dumb then we are in strife.

You doubt we’re in strife? I see you’ve fallen into the company line to defend Ben Hart. Doesn’t take much, just Roo having a go at them and you’re in lock step right behind him. But you hadn’t raised this as a personal view prior. I find that interesting.

I was looking forward to hearing the Vic media discuss how the comp would have to ensure an even playing field for all clubs in light of this news. Ha! Not really.

It means that despite the Victorian government giving AFL clubs an exemption on Monday to start full training this week the competition's restart is being held up by both the South Australian and Western Australian governments.

The decision increases the chances Adelaide and Port Adelaide would have to temporarily relocate in order for the season to start without disruption meaning they could join Western Australian clubs West Coast and Fremantle in quarantine hubs for the first four to six weeks of the season.

Article includes a clip from Footy Classified with Eddie and Caro basically blaming the Crows.

Nah, Hart was in charge. He failed and he failed alone. I like that you’re posting so strong on this new line if yours now that you’ve been told Roo said it. Nothing like bringing your own thoughts to a discussion after you see a board member saying it. No mention of the players being at fault prior that I saw. But now that Roo’s blamed them, get into them mate, season on players being at fault just opened.
