Was a better game than I was expecting. Sucky result but. Got some recidivists that need weeding out. Devastated for Keidean.

Did you see the outs Carlton had and our virtually full strength outfit?
I’ll debate during the week if I want to spend my hard earned to watch us potentially dish up another weekend ruiner.
If tonight is what were like at the Gabba this season, what will we look like away? It’s Fremantle, they’re looking bottom 4 quality and missing key players, you got to take these chances to watch the side get a win
And perhaps a fit and firing Ashcroft before September. It's a lot to ask for.I think we can win a premiership without Kiddy but it's going to require a player (or two) who we weren't expecting to have a standout season, find a way to do so.

That is genuinely insulting to West Coast 2018 to compare their first performance with tonight. The Fu#k was that, i am relying on you guys to get the bloody cup out of Victoria. I really hope the Giants win now. In 2018 we lost the first game to the Swans and then went on a winning streak, i hope you guys do the same, in reality you are way too good not to win the premiership this year, dont let us all down.
Seriously give it a spell.Maybe throw Reville into a half back role in the VFL and see if he can offer some run and quality foot skills.
But there will be a first.I'm pretty sure no team that lost R0 has gone on to win the grand final.
Fair enough. I'll take your word for it.I felt at the time that that game was an anomaly. I don’t think this game was.
no one is a Coleman level kick.if coleman has done an acl i dont think we could have thought of a worse way to start the season.
thinking outside the box a bit, id get doedee to play colemans role. loose interceptor / distributor. doedee is not a coleman level kick, but it is definitely one of his weapons and his intercept game is terrific. give him the license to play more unaccountable and i think he could flourish.
What?Seriously give it a spell.
Disagree, but I hope you’re rightFair enough. I'll take your word for it.
I agree that we lack that real "foot on the throat" mentality and we have seen that over the last few seasons, but I don't think that's a reason to write us off completely, or that we'll losing multiple games this year by 50+ points.
We're not a good round 1 side, and we made a very good football team look third rate tonight when we were on. I don't think we should be writing off the season yet.
It certainly is panic stations, considering Carlton were missing Weitering and Walsh. If Kiddy is out for the season my enthusiasm will drop off a reasonable amount. Such a gun, and I was so keen to watch him this year.
Even if none of them are real replacements at least we have McKenna to come back in, Doedee to add something new down back (in a couple of months, admittedly) and Wilmot can likely push back there instead of up to the wing. Ah Chee did a decent job tonight too.
I hate losing to Carlton and I hate losing like that even more. That first quarter is what we're trying to do consistently, but for whatever reason we can't keep it up.
In the end, it's a 1 point loss to a top 6 team in the opening round. We had a hell of a lot of chances to win that even after we'd blown the big early lead. Immensely frustrating (especially with the Kiddy injury), but hardly panic stations. Long season.
Round zero gets the thumbs down for me. Season's way too long and injury lists are something every club will be dealing with this year.If Kiddy is out for the season my enthusiasm will drop off a reasonable amount. Such a gun, and I was so keen to watch him this year.
