I think you have started to show your nearly thousand years.

New club/set up and he has more than enough runs on the board…

Not willing to pot him just yet…

I honestly don’t understand the hype around Richmond

It’s because they’ve won 3 flags and their arrogance has consumed them.Classic flog line from a couple of years ago I think was when flog Riewoldt stated ‘I wouldn’t want to play us in the last few rounds’ then preceded to miss finals.

Didn’t attend the game, but watched the replay and my takeaways:

Acres, exactly what we are wanted and needed, huge tank, runs both ways and cuts off angles nicely, big body who makes us instantly better

Hewitt and Kennedy, just make us so much better with their grunt, football smarts, toughness and ability to do the 1 percenters

Doch; got into the game in the second half, but really need to nail his match up as he did look really, really slow at times

Sos: his father was my hero growing up and I love Jack’s effort and intensity, but if he wants to play ever week he’s needs to nail his set shots. Yes it was windy, but 7-8 years into the system and this area of his game has not improved at all

Newman: just a pro

Hollands, Cowan and Cincotta: great signs early, all can play, have some weapons and look to be team first guys. Would think at least one of this group plays round one

Harry: beast, should kick 50-60 this year and will be hard to stop. Footy IQ also looks to have taken a step up

TDK: polarizing, some amazing stuff and some not so, if he can bridge the gap between his best and worst he will become an absolute weapon. Jumped too early a lot in ruck contests, but some of his aerial marking was superb

Mots: preseason hype definitely translated and just looked more confident, fitter and like he truly belonged. When paired with Durds it’s going to be dynamic and dangerous

LOB: if that’s what we get from LOB every week I’ll be happy, Barlow (commentator) noted he looked distinctly more confident standing up in tackles and didn’t crumble when the heat came, tick!

Overall happy with the result and a lot to work with. Hopefully we see Gov and Durds next week and I’m happy for Marchy and Martin to bide their time in the VFL to ensure they are 110% ready to go.

Get the feeling Harry and Charlie take their partnership to the next level this year

Expect Charlie to play more than cameron/nick riewoldt role where he gets about 50+ with 15+ touches a game

McKay won’t leave the forward 50 much based on what I saw yesterday, will kick 60+

Their field kicking is first class as well.
