Had been told and confirmed today that all spots are up for grabs.

Nothing new really but coming from Mick, it may just carry a little more weight now.

What does this mean though?

Is that just a way of letting the old campaigners know that they have to work harder? In reality i dont think much will change.... aside from filling the gaps from the delistees retirees etc

It probably means that barring any injury crisis, if you put in a string of sub-par performances, expect a player to take your spot now that we have some decent options which wasn't the case last year,

If this is Mick's true mindset going into this season, expect some surprises in RD1 and a mass of changes if we lose more games than win in the first part of the season.

I can see Walsh really pushing for seniors pretty much straight away. Could truly prove to be one of the steals of the whole draft of 2014 - dare I say it Rockliff-style...

Judging by the pictures on the Carlton FB page - Cripps has really gotten rid of that puppy fat. Looks much leaner - which hopefully translates to a better ability to run out a game and have a real impact this season. My tip for the rising star.
