I thought the same. I’d hate for him to do an O’Cockface where he leaves a year after us basically paying for his rehab.

If the worst is realised, it might be worth keeping that new list spot open until the mid season draft. Because if things go pear shaped, you’d be in line for a top talent from the State or NAB Leagues.

I'm a big fan of Matt Hammelmann and apparently he is playing QAFL at for Redlands at this stage. Kicked 43 goals in 10 games in the VFL last year for Aspley on the back of two big years for Redlands in the NEAFL.

Being a suns supporter is definitely a roller coaster ride… huge loss but at least we are better equipped this year. Corbett has a break out year like his vfl form we might just be okay
Don't rollercoasters have ups as well?
Been a while since I rode one.
I do recall the giant slides that came through town occasionally with the carnivals and you rode them down on old wheat bags.
Maybe it's more slide than roller coaster being a Suns fan

I like Corbett. Gives us something with his marking.
Would love to see Jeffrey and Hollands breakout. Both very good overhead marks for their size.
A forward line of Corbett, Jeffrey, Hollands, Ainsworth, Rankine while very young has a lot of x-factor and mobility about it. Rotate Casboult and Chol as the tall chop out targets, with Sexton, Spitta and Holman off the bench isn’t the worst forward line ever.
Would also love to see Mally come on. He showed some electric glimpses last year but needs to get more of the pill. Difficult for a small in our forward line though.

Agree on Hollands. Won’t replace King by any shot (clearly a different player) but valuable addition to the forward rotations.
You blokes need a bit of luck. I remember 2015 when the doggies world fell apart and nek minute! It can all change. Good luck for the season.

I haven't heard from Hollands much at all recently. Seemed to be going really well until early January, but then nothing? Has he played any match sim?

Felt sick when I heard that news. Just the worst. Wouldn’t want anyone to have an ACL but I just wish it wasn’t him. I was so looking forward to your team and him this year and then re-signing.

Ben King Injury Update
The Gold Coast SUNS can confirm that scans have revealed key forward Ben King will miss the 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season after rupturing his ACL.
