Good to hear the usual suspects (newbies) stood out, Hewitt will surface soon enough.
A surprise for me was Witherden - 'Has impressed the Eagles all summer, got a gig with the Probables and pushed forward to kick a first quarter goal.' (after all the bad press he's had here)
And it's like old times to hear Gaff was running up and down the wing all game - is that a good thing or a bad thing? Maybe he's become more damaging, more penetrating...Gaff the penetrator - I like it!
'Yeo looking ominous' (how good is that), needs to stay that way..a couple more 'ominous' players/midfielders would be appreciated. (you'd think Kelly would be an ominous player by now?)
West and Clark as depth, predictable..
Jones and Tommy a couple of swingers...

I really hope Sheed has a prime Sheed year. I think if he, Yeo & TK are properly flying and consistently so + with a decently healthy list around that we can be in games. I know win / loss doesn’t matter so much this year but also it’s not great for the younger players getting a gig if we are just getting hammered each week. Better off being competitive and getting used to playing positively and really getting used to the game plan and tempo etc. Hopefully with more speed injected into the squad we can also attack a fair bit and use our run whenever possible

It's ripping off the US sports arrivals isn't it - like where NBA players get dressed up and get filmed/photographed when showing up at the stadium for the game. They tried to do the same thing with AFLX if I recall correctly.

I reckon this sort of pointless shit is a good sign. You look back to 2018 and the club just seemed like a fun place to be and the last couple of years have seemed anything but.
