Is that the mystery man behind Hunt? As his sponsor for this year, I should know, but I don't...
They've clearly copy and pasted Hunts body and photoshopped his head onto it. They know we're on to them

They are essentially working from home during their 'time off'. Every player in the league will have an off season program they have to follow, so even if they aren't in at the club or are 'on leave', they will still be putting in the work and being tracked by the club through GPS numbers etc.
as with most work from home sone put in an effore and others gravitate to the fridge

In the absence of Naitanui news/training photos I have employed an ai art generator to find out how he's really shaping up this preseason...

Not really ideal fitness wise IMO and I didn't remember him being such a hillbilly.

But further examination looks a bit better:

Definitely a play 30% gametime but destroy a few poor kents in the centre build we're going for. Not sure if we'll fix his kicking getting him training with a ball like that though.

The ai didn't really interpret swinging dicks the way I expected, though if this next one is accurate it seems he's testing a new move involving the dreadlocks (and we've successfully grafted Langdon's calves onto him) - bodes well for some effective plays in the forward line:

And finally, got this info from my intel inside the club, not sure if I should share it revealing our true strategy for next season but I speak truth to power what can I say -

Congrats to your daughter firstly. With regards to the AFL boys, they might not be officially training at the club but anyone wanting to succeed will be doing their own fitness work.

I remember an offseason a long time ago I was down at McGilvray ovals prior to the Eagles coming back for official training and Juddy was down there doing 400m at a really solid pace. Seen the same thing with Fremantle players at times in their offseason. Basically I would expect that most AFL players even in their down time are doing running and gym work of some description. Admittedly it is just not club specifically regulated stuff.
Yeah totally get all of that. My point was more the extended break they have away from the club seems more than generous to me.

That random swinging ‘Dic Nat’ image was absolutely hilarious 👍👍

Nic has been training incognito away from the main group. He's disguised like they do with a new car model release, when they put all those stripes on its body to confuse you what it really looks like. I managed to track him down, carefully disguised as a Swan Districts footballer and a got a pic for you to see. The guy on the right didn't know who he was, such was the disguise, until he launched over Mr Seaby, resulting in the stunned mullet look when it suddenly hit him who he'd been training with. In my dreams, I know, but that's the Naitanui I would love to see again.

Think they started earlier today than Monday. Definitely finished earlier so I didn’t catch as much of today’s session.

Seems like Wednesdays are lighter than the Monday and Friday sessions

• Still didn’t see Nic although Gavin Bell on SEN said this morning he was going to be back today albeit maybe later after an unspecified illness
• Waterman again just did laps
• O’Neill joined in with the main group for the first time I’d seen
• Shuey and Yeo both trained but didn’t participate in everything
• LEdwards invisibility cloak slipped a couple of times so I did spot him. Like Chesser though he sat out some drills
• Clark and Culley continue to impress
• Jones and SPS both were with the forwards when they split into line groups.
• Hough and Burgiel were with the backs
• Hewett, Ginbey and Chesser with the mids
• I think Long was with the forwards but they were on the opposite side of the ground so I couldn’t pick him up
• Darling joined back in so the club was right about his back issue being minor
• Ryan was also training so my slight concern at the end of Monday was unfounded thankfully
• The mids did a loose ball gathering drill in front of me and then spread from the contest with different setups based on whether the ball gatherer was under pressure or in the open. Interesting hearing the coaches talking about different language being used and making sure the players asked about it if they were unsure. All the noobs were there so it was mainly for their benefit- Sheed also spent time explaining to them what they were trying to achieve with the drill. Really good to see him showing the sort of leadership from him that the club sometimes talks about but we don’t get to see
• As I’m typing this Nic has come out doing low key one on one work with one of the assistants

Yep haven’t got too much else to add to that.

A few other things I noticed though:
  • Petch and Barnett were doing some run throughs and drills with the trainers away from the main group. Petch only really got to medium pace running before heading inside, Barnett did some weaving in and out of cones at light pace.
  • I was sat right near the “rehab” group so saw Barnett point to his left ankle a couple of times while doing his drills. Didn’t look in much discomfort but I’m assuming that means it’s an ankle issue he’s recovering from
  • Good numbers on the track today - only players I didn’t see (other than Winder) were Duggan and Bazzo. And the vast majority of those present trained with the main group at some point during the session
  • The draftees joined the main group for (from what I could tell) the whole session today after spending the last couple of weeks training by themselves
  • Have to agree with your point the other day about Jamieson - looks like he’s added a lot of size and impressed me today with his marking and skills.
  • I think I also saw Baker training with the backs, though they were quite far away from me and I couldn’t see too well
  • You’re right that Long was training with the forwards

Naitanui still here training. Doing an agility exercise. Looks to be moving well. Saw Hough, Chesser, West and Culley leaving. Culley is huge - looks like he's done five preseasons not half of one.

I watched him for about 10-15 minutes. He wasn’t doing anything at high intensity but wasn’t hindered in his movements either

Whilst he’s still carrying extra kegs he doesn’t look as heavy as he was towards the end of last season

Yep haven’t got too much else to add to that.

Yeah, forgot to mention Petch and Barnett. Petch has clearly tweaked something because he was training fully last week

Baker was with the backs

Also Dewar is basically a spectator at he moment. I haven’t seen him do anything bar a few handballs at any of the sessions

Jamieson I’m liking

Sounds like he was doing a great job ‘coaching’ the younger midfielders. Anyone in particular seem to be following him around?

Not anyone in particular that I’ve seen. Predominantly the draftees keep together as a group with one of the development coaches at this stage

West Coast say superstar Nic Naitanui has returned to the club but the fan favourite was nowhere to be seen on the training track this morning after a mystery illness laid him up for more than a week.
