Petch has clearly tweaked something because he was training fully last week
- HEdwards - He's like a baby giraffe and always looks like he's knackered. Like his brain doesnt know his body or that he's 200cm and not a midfielder?
Edwards was drafted as 195cm in height, measured at preseason training as 197cm, grew to 200cm in his second year and now stands 204cm tall. This followed 11cm of growth from 184cm to 195cm at 17 years of age, in his draft year.
Think they started earlier today than Monday. Definitely finished earlier so I didn’t catch as much of today’s session.
Seems like Wednesdays are lighter than the Monday and Friday sessions
• Still didn’t see Nic although Gavin Bell on SEN said this morning he was going to be back today albeit maybe later after an unspecified illness
• Waterman again just did laps
• O’Neill joined in with the main group for the first time I’d seen
• Shuey and Yeo both trained but didn’t participate in everything
• LEdwards invisibility cloak slipped a couple of times so I did spot him. Like Chesser though he sat out some drills
• Clark and Culley continue to impress
• Jones and SPS both were with the forwards when they split into line groups.
• Hough and Burgiel were with the backs
• Hewett, Ginbey and Chesser with the mids
• I think Long was with the forwards but they were on the opposite side of the ground so I couldn’t pick him up
• Darling joined back in so the club was right about his back issue being minor
• Ryan was also training so my slight concern at the end of Monday was unfounded thankfully
• The mids did a loose ball gathering drill in front of me and then spread from the contest with different setups based on whether the ball gatherer was under pressure or in the open. Interesting hearing the coaches talking about different language being used and making sure the players asked about it if they were unsure. All the noobs were there so it was mainly for their benefit- Sheed also spent time explaining to them what they were trying to achieve with the drill. Really good to see him showing the sort of leadership from him that the club sometimes talks about but we don’t get to see
• As I’m typing this Nic has come out doing low key one on one work with one of the assistants
It seems he has definitely been putting the effort in. Did a lot of stuff in the offseason to try to lose some kgs apparently. It's a pity he's been unwell this month. Is it me or is he look a but trimmer?

He’s only been running laps and doing rehab work. Haven’t seen him kicking the footy or joining in drills to any great extentThanks Keys. Any info on how ma boy Jake Waterman is going? Last I heard he was having back issues, hoping he was back with the main group today.
For people watching training, has Shuey slimmed down? Doesn't look as nuggety as before in one of the recent photos. Wonder if its to help with injury or a position change.
He looks trim and in good shape like usual but I can’t say I’ve noticed too much of a change. Then again, haven’t really kept a close eye on him.For people watching training, has Shuey slimmed down? Most of the above stems from Gavin Bell speaking to Mark Duffield this morning. Link to the interview is here but it sounds like Bell is stuck down a well when talking so the audio is hard to pick up

As a glass half full if I listen to the podcast I can skip reading the West.In the short time that Duffield has been on SEN it is clear that many to the articles in The West are from journos who listen to his podcast and just reprint info in the interviews. I don't mind it when the Eagles highlight those interviews but it irks me to see the info rehashed on The West. It seems like lazy journalism.
Haha! Very true!!As a glass half full if I listen to the podcast I can skip reading the West.
More chance of Keyser growing back a full head of hair than Naitanui in season 14 coming back "Trim" after his missus just had a kid.
