Prestia’s body is cooked. Blokes struggling to even get through a pre a season with out breaking down.

How would you trust him to last a regular season game let alone another do or die final?!

On $650-$700 over next two years to give what?…20 games and a couple of half games.
Who cares.
700k with 3 flags under his belt.
Or would you prefer Fyfe with similar injury issues with nothing to show for it apart from a Brownlow?

Let's just wait and see how he goes shall we? Whatever they did last pre seaosn didn't work, so maybe they're just taking an ultra-cautious approach this time?

He's helped win us 3 flags. Think it's paid for itself.
What is it with some people on here
First potting Dusty and now Meatball.
Oh No they're old and frail. How dare they get paid so much.

A Hallmark of our premiership teams was also endurance, we seemed to have more in the tank than oppos and regularly ran over them in the last quarter. We seemed to have lost that last year and ended up fading in lots of games
Yeah up until 2020 our repeat sprint efforts per game were almost double that of the second best. Crazy work rates

These players will go down as club greats, part of a triple premiership winning team. Yeah a team like bummers would off load them but look where they are? Prestia is still a very valuable player especially if he is firing at the pointy end of the season.

I normally don't take pot shots at clubs when they are already down, but this is very funny at the expense of Carlton.
You can just picture this being Markov.

Imagine going from the Richmond culture, to Suns - new club, give em a chance, then on to the Carlspoons

I've landed at a point were I think it would be a mistake to take Narkle.

Bradtke or leave the spot open IMO.

I would rather give our kids ago in there to be honest than Narkle who, will be serviceable enough, but won't add to our long term development IMO

He'd be very good depth though. Can't ask for much more than that with an SSP selection. Most of them are busts.

Yes our club obviously has no idea about sport and fitness and list management. I mean just look at our output. Only 3 flags in the last 6 years highlights the incompetence.

Sometimes shit just happens as well, like Lambert unfortunately he had a chronic injury and all the preparation in the world couldn’t help it
It’s easy to blame fitness staff or training procedures but ultimately a lot is out of everyone’s control and just depends on the individuals body

It seems the soft tissue injury’s are isolated to a few guys who have either har soft tissue problems in the past or are getting older

If it was the case where we saw a huge uptick across our he entire list questions should be asked but otherwise I don’t think we have an issue

A crazy podcasting hot take generating shock jock and Kane Cornes going head to headView attachment 1603871

This is why Kane is a plonker

Why would you bet to do something you actually like doing, like run.

You wanna impress me, eat a bucket of KFC if Cotch kicks 25 goals, dont promise to go for a run, that you would do anyway.

No one GAF !

Flags aint won in February. AFL players get injured and/or need management in their training. Gibcus had a good taste of it last year and will be good back up Grimes or we have a look at Banks or Bigoa.

Highly paid Prestia on light duties? not ideal for a player of his calibre. Great finals player. 10 ways to cover Prestia now. Again I'd like to manage him for September. If he breaks down in 2023 maybe he calls early retirement. Bolton more mid, Sonzie more gametime. Ross, Graham.

Lynch won't get on the park every week either. Bauer, Young, Ryan. Soldo to ruck and Miller up there. Or Dusty to FF and someone plays the small fwd.

didn't cornes do a big run recently? Adelaide to Melbourne?

Make him do a lap of the country

Who the **** would want to be an AFL fitness and Conditioning staff member. There is a direct correlation to having a big preseason and playing the best possible football through the year but you then have to balance that with not injuring the stable in Feb.

The whole team's fortunes directly rest on your shoulders and you have to deal with the human body which is one of the most unreliable and unique thing to work with.

Absolutely wild that they do interviews and allow to have their name made public. I would want to be as anonymous as possible.

I don't mind it. He made a call, didn't have to do anything but he's volunteered himself for a bit of embarrassment. It's a bit of silly buggers, 8 laps of TAN gives plenty of opportunity to snap photos of him in Cotchin's guernsey which is punishment enough for a Tiger hater.

Exactly. Our stars are older now so it’s more managing them through the season. They don’t need to be having career best preseasons. They’re going to get injured it’s a fact of life.

If they can get them all on the grass at the right time that’s the job.

I agree totally, but, where I'm coming from, if he's not on the list, an opportunity has to go to a kid.
If he's on the list, even if purely for good depth, the one error I think we have made over the last few years is giving opportunity to kids over tried and proven depth players.

Last year, well on the second half of last year, we slightly changed that approach and a couple of kids flourished.

My concern if we pick Narkle, we slip back to old habit of picking Narkle over a kid, then the kid can't flourish
