If both Daicos boys are down early, then the kids get to play. At least we'll see more of what's in our future.
Daicos family are so professional, in Pendles way.
Let's hope... no need to panic for a few weeks...

Hopefully as Josh and Nick not being 100% - I could not see us Winning the flag

Looks like we’re becoming the Plantar Fascitis club, just after we shrugged the finger tendon curse.

Has anyone got any experience with PF, it’s odd because it’s not a broken bone or tendon? Just inflammation? What is management like?

I'm no athlete, I'll start with that.

It's actually horrible feeling, pain in the muscle that just comes on straight away when walking running and doesnt go away unless your off your feet.

When your warm it's not to bad, once you cool down you'll struggle to walk.

I have struggled with it for about 3 years and wore a boot for 4-5 months resulting in shock therapy weekly.

It's pretty much like a little tear that needs to repair with rest exercises and blood flow.

I have got it to a point where i can walk fine and no pain, the foot isn't the same though and never will be, struggle with movement.

My opinion is strength (Calf and Achilles exercises) and blood flow are the 2 most important things, I wouldn't worry to much, Nick is 21 and will be fine.

Certain footwear is big aswell, little things like not walking around the house barefoot helps, I haven't worn thongs/sandals in 3 years.

Much rather it now then round 5 because you can manage it, weekly games will be the struggle.

I wouldn't be expecting Naicos to do any "normal"preseason training loads for the next couple of months at least. You wouldn't be taking any risks with this type of injury....

I was recommended those, as Ive been dealing with a PF. I do exercises as well, but can be pretty painful especially in the morning getting out of bed.

Thanks mate I appreciate the detailed response.

Have you tried these:

They just don’t cut it.
I’ve worn orthotics for 20 years after my issues.
They need be held tight to your foot.
I don’t wear any thongs, sandles or even elastic sided boots. Hate walking barefoot and I have very sensitive souls now.
Merrel water shoes have been very good, but they’re ugly.

Feet can be troublesome - and the solutions very much depend on the individual. And the health practitioner.

My podiatrist has banned me from walking barefoot! And I love my Archies slides. He also binned my 20yo orthotics.

His solution worked. For me.

It depends on the severity.
I've had plantar fasciitis, but a relatively mild case, which completely resolved.
Often the heel pain is bad when you get up in the morning, but eases when you start moving.
Intense exercise can make it worse, which is why Nick would be on the bike rather than running.
I'm sure the medical team is on it, and hopefully it will settle down.
Titch's case was obviously severe.

Bigfooty is no place for sensitive souls, Phantom! Hopefully Nick’s injury at the lower end of the scale.

They work for me, but mine hasn't gotten to the orthotics stage of severity.
