Always amazes how you know this stuff, whether its a wild or educated guess, always highly plausible.
Wade spoke about it with Mitchell. They had him him on an anti-gravity treadmill with a view to him getting out on the track the following week. Unfortunately that following week never arrived, as he didn't get to the stage of being able to bare his body weight without it flaring up.

It's a weird condition. There's things they do but ultimately it's fingers crossed and hope it goes away. And if it doesn't they try to manage the player through it, until it goes away or the player can't play through it. It's one of the various "niggles" that players put up with throughout the season. Personally, I'd sook it up.

Great work on the Geelong exorcism. 👍👍

Yeah. I wore him down over 2 seasons

He barracked for Geelong due to loving Tom Hawkins

But I took him to a few games over 22/23 including the Qualifying Final which sold him on switching to the Pies once Hawkins was done

He got himself a 2024 H&A Guernsey with the gold logo a couple of weeks ago and brought it with him. Got it signed by McStay, Bobby, Checkers and Crisp. He was rapt.

He then went and bought the 2024 Gold tick Dark training top and a hat lol. Made him full nuff

Whats the saying? Once you go Black (and White) you cant go back!

How is Membrey looking out there?

I think he will really add something to our forward line in that ‘connector’ type role pushing up the ground.

Keen to hear how he’s slotting in
That Tom Lynch of the Adelaide variety role of around 2016-2017. Huge to have a connection between half back and deep forward like that

Not that I encourage re-watching the round 22 game v Sydney, though McStay and Cameron were huge for us by playing that link up role high forward / on the wing. Only problem is they had no one to kick it to up forward

Can see Membrey playing a huge role for us doing something similar given his marking ability.

Any word on how Demattia is looking? Haven't seen him mentioned anywhere to the point I forgot he was on our list
Yesterday was his first session of the year, he wasn't here last week. But guess he's doing okay, hasn't stood out to me just yet.

From post #2299 yesterday

Harry D. is zippy in terms of his elusiveness and ability to find space. He also looked clean kicking at goal from long range but does he lack some strength in a contest? He was caught easily and unable to break through in some of the combative drills but is this by dint of his youth?

Sounds like a poor mans Daniel Rich which could be a weapon still if he continues to improve

A fit trio of Checkers, McStay and Membrey will cause plenty of headaches for opposition sides.

Plus the smalls in Elliott, Hill and De Goey who you imagine will spend more time forward this season.
