Looked like Josh and Jordy was in full training. Match sim and all.
How much did Nick do?Looked like Josh and Jordy was in full training. Match sim and all.
Still 6 weeks until opening round so I'm quietly optimistic. Have we received an update from the club on a timeline? Granted this type of injury is hard to put a timeline on though progress updates would be nice from them!He did okay. Did a bit more than monday. Started a couple drills. Did about half the session, so getting there.
Chill out everyone - I'm not saying I want it to happen, I'm just alluding to the fact that something like that seems to happen every year to us (not quite as extreme as the scenario I've outlined, just exaggerated to illustrate the point).WTF. what’s that about. FFS
Let's put out positive thoughts..Chill out everyone - I'm not saying I want it to happen, I'm just alluding to the fact that something like that seems to happen every year to us (not quite as extreme as the scenario I've outlined, just exaggerated to illustrate the point).
I feel like every year when we are flying, we always seem to get 1-2 genuinely long term injuries early on that put us behind our best 23 from the get go.
It seems to run in cycles. We actually had a good run in 2022/2023 - even they there was a patch in 2023 when all our talls were out.Chill out everyone - I'm not saying I want it to happen, I'm just alluding to the fact that something like that seems to happen every year to us (not quite as extreme as the scenario I've outlined, just exaggerated to illustrate the point).

Wardrobe malfunction or Sayers style? That crumb from Hayes is borderline pornographic

Love it. Give us a fit Jordy and a fit Nick and it's on like donkey Kong.Big step forward for Pies mid, no sign of foot issue for young gun
Jordan De Goey takes the next steps in his recovery from groin and abdominal issues, while Nick Daicos shows no signs of a plantar fascia issuewww.afl.com.au

I'm starting to think the same about Dean. When he did have the ball he kicked it out of bounds or past the man. He obviously doesn't have the pace, but he had some okay games last year, there was always the hope he would take the next step like Reef seems to be heading towards.First time watching training this year.
Some thoughts on a few players :
Houston - the buzz around this bloke and what he will bring to pies is real .. his kicking is next level … low darts whether short or long distance .. massive weapon in our system and want of quick play
Allan - there’s been a lot spoken about his speed at draft which we had all been waiting to see… whilst it was only a sprinting drill , he showed it today blowing the other boys away in one of the efforts .. once he starts to use it in game … will be a sight
D Cameron - been said a few times by others , his hands are unbelievable … he played forward a bit today in some of the practice sims …will be a handful as resting forward ..
N daicos - did some things today that only he can do …important we get him cherrry ripe cause I dont think anyone will be able to go with him this year … looks stronger than last year .. seemed to train without discomfort
Dean - whilst I know he has missed a lot of footy unfortunately I don’t think he will make it .. very scratchy skills and just not tall enough to cover the real big boys
Lipinski - looks sharp and we appear to like going through him … we know he has been working on his speed offseason though couldn’t really see whether there has been an improvement there
Overall , the boys certainly look fit and strong .. the one advantage of an older list is having a lot of seasoned bodies.

You’re bang on with this take. What most seem to miss is every club for the most part cops that stuff. For instance Brisbane had 5 best 23 done for the year by AD weekend in 2024. Carlton for some reason are flavour of the off season and will miss Newman all year. It’s just what happens in professional contact sport.Chill out everyone - I'm not saying I want it to happen, I'm just alluding to the fact that something like that seems to happen every year to us (not quite as extreme as the scenario I've outlined, just exaggerated to illustrate the point).

People get to see it twice then..I posted that article a few posts above.
Reads it well, but when you lack both pace and strength everything else has to be pretty bloody good.I'm starting to think the same about Dean. Add Moore into the must have a good run with injury bracket. You’re bang on with this take. What most seem to miss is every club for the most part cops that stuff. It’s good to see key players returning to full training. Everything else is white noise if we can’t get 90+ combined matches from Daicos x2, Houston and JDG this year.
Yeah, we would be in a tonne of trouble without Moore. Right now there is a school of thought that says that Reef is our 2nd best key defender on the list (as someone who's never played there at the highest level). Imagine if he had to become the best if we lost Moore... we'd be destroyed.Add Moore into the must have a good run with injury bracket.

Any school of thought that currently rates Reef above Howe as a KPD should be shut down.Yeah, we would be in a tonne of trouble without Moore. Any of De Goey, Daicsx2, Houston can be replaced at only a little below their output value by shuffling things around. Not Moore though. There is a huge drop between Moore and the next person that has to come in if he goes down.
I'm not disagreeing about Moore's importance but there is no possible way where N Daicos can be replaced at only a little below their output. He is the reason why we are a chance in any game we play, he is that good. If we lose Nick we would be in all sortsYeah, we would be in a tonne of trouble without Moore.
