You do understand there's more to managing the pandemic than that? You read the AMA's statement? I suspect they're who we should be deferring to.
No. They’re one group we should take advice from, although much like the Law Institute in Victoria, they seem sadly to have become politicised. They’re certainly not representative of the doctors and surgeons I’ve spoken to.

Experts disagreeing with your anecdotal opinions does not mean they’re “politicised.”

It means you can’t handle not being the moral and intellectual authority on the situation.

Some essential workers are still in offices and are unable to get vaccinated due to being immunocompromised. No masks in offices will force these people to quit their jobs.
It’s a very small number of people, and if everyone around them is vaccinated they have a LOT smaller chance of even knowing anyone who catches it, let alone being exposed themselves.

Great to see a state step away from the stranglehold that unelected bureaucrats have had over our country for 18 months plus. Their advice is welcome but needs to be just one factor in deciding policy. The fear, paranoia, and medieval superstition expressed in some of these posts is quite mind boggling.

When your car isn't running properly do you get advice from a bunch of commerce and law graduates or do you go to a mechanic?

It's going to be a tough choice at the next NSW election for the tolerant people who despise religion.

Also, how refreshing is Chris Minns. Hopefully the blueprint for Labor going forward after years of negative campaigning, identity politics and flirtation with the woke.

I disagree

The NSW approach and plan always seemed reasonable and measured. Gladys, Hazzard and chant presented a united front. I am not sure what the benefit is increasing visitors to the home from 5-10 2 weeks early. I do like the bringing forward of removing mask mandates for offices though.

The only people that elected Pair o’ **** were the voters of Epping, and even then I don’t recall his expertise in the realm of public health being mentioned by him.

Silly silly move removing the mask mandate.

I hate it when politicians think they know more than the medicos.

Slippery slope to covidville for you guys.

You get advice from a mechanic. Then you weigh up that advice against all of the various competing interests of the household including economic costs, and make a balanced decision having taken into account the various factors.

What I don’t do is hand my mechanic a blank cheque, the front door key to my house, conjugal rights with my wife, and parental responsibility for my children because they are not mine to hand over.

I listen to Tucker Carlson, then pray to Jesus and pour water into the fuel tank hoping god would turn it into patrol

Do you have one of those fish stickers on the rear window?

People are free to wear masks wherever and whenever they feel it’s appropriate. I would, and do, myself, even though I’m fully vaccinated. Surely there’s enough information out there about this virus for people to behave appropriately in their particular circumstances? (Maybe not…) The mentality still seems set to “eradication” instead of “living with” - which shows the grip Doherty and Burnett have held over our lives. Now the AMA is weighing in claiming “thousands will die”. Let’s see.

I’d vote for whichever one‘s decision making is least influenced by his religion. Practice whatever you want in private, when it starts to impact on others that’s when I have an issue.

Yep. We had a plan which Im pretty sure 90% of the state agreed with. Then the new guy on Day 2 decides that it doesnt matter how much planning went in, he was going to just make everything happen faster.

Im pretty sure all of the changes being announced are a smoke and mirrors act to disguise the one true goal - which is getting Churches opened up as quickly as possible. Prayer being well known for its ability to protect people from airborne disease.

When you consider the standard of politicians elected in Australia, particularly from the National Party in NSW, I don't think "unelected bureaucrat" is the pejorative term you think it is.

This shiny new “unelected bureaucrats” line being spread by the conservatives is laughable.

Other than being exceptionally good at “politics” people like Morrison and Barnaby come across as some of the least qualified and least intelligent people this country has ever had in public office.

If having a bunch of elected buffoons because they are good a politicking is what we are aiming for then Australia is a lot more screwed than I thought.

This is full Trumpism and that ended with a bunch of dickheads in cosplay storming the capital.

It’s more about the virulence of the strain of religion.

Plibers' old man is the new Secretary of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, funny how when he's linked to her career he's a deadbeat ex junky and she has terrible judgement but it seems he's good enough for the NSW Libs.
