Still not working for anyone who hadn't activated the game, still waiting on a response from a person who has activated the game before on two of his computers and needed to bypass the limit. He hasn't been online for about a week though.

Caleb Poad Update:

End of the 2022 season, I missed finals for the first time since 2014, ending my 6 consecutive premierships.

Poad was the Norm Smith Medallist in 2021, and has won his 6th consecutive Coleman Medal, and is 8th on the all time goalkicking list, 1 behind Gary Ablett, and on current trends, will be top 5 by the end of 2023, and should finish top 3 by the end of his career.

He has played 257 games, and kicked 1029 goals.
 
anybody know how to fix the issue when the error message comes up on the game after you do the instructions from uncustom with changing the config file and the the number in the network settings. Is it because I'm running windows 8 on bootcamp? Need help
 
Hey guys,

Got the game running using uncustom's instructions (on Windows 8), but you will need an activated copy of the game for it to work. Oh and of course you will need to have actually purchased the game.

Many thanks to uncustom for helping me get the game I paid good money for actually work again.
 
I am uncustom, so I used your config file download and replaced it in the config folder with the normal one. And yes im using windows 8. I cant get to my old config files because ones on a broken computer and I used it again on another bootcamp before I uninstalled it. I do have the game and the code though.

Just completed the 2024 season, winning a seventh premiership with the Sharks.

Poad has now played 298 games, and has kicked an impressive 1308 goals, including a mammoth 179 goals in 2023, and an impressive 101 goals in 2024, despite playing only 17 games, including finals. This takes him to second on the all time Goalkicking list, and a certainty to overtake Tony Lockett's record as the games leading goalkicker.

He has won 8 consecutive coleman medals (2017-current), 5 Club Champion awards, a Norm Smith Medal, 7 Premierships, and has been an AA representative 5 times.

He has just turned 31.

He has everything except for a Brownlow, hopefully he can win one before he retires.

I tried the config file on Windows 7 with no luck, I also bought the game from EB last month without reading all this info because I was really keen to play it :( I have been looking out for a second hand version of the game to try the config file again with an already activated copy as one last hope. I let any1 know if I have any luck :thumbsu:

A Secondhand version won't work unless you know their Mac Address, even then it probably won't work, this is the same thing as I've done with other people, as my copy acts as a second hand copy with the config file, and this still doesn't work for them unless they had activated their game before and used their code.

Right o then - if you dont have an activated copy of the game on your computer then you wont be able to get the game running using your config file ?
So if you buy the game from EB in the last year then you wont be able to get it to run because it is a new game and code which has not been activated yet :(

Has anyone found or seen a crack online for the game maybe ?

My way is pretty much a crack to getting the game to work as it has worked for some people who bought the game but never played it because they didn't get to activate it,

It wasn't really intended for my instructions to be this way, as they were originally for those who wanted to bypass the license limit, however people kept asking me, and it did work for like 1-2 of the people, but everyone who asked me after hasn't managed to get it to work, except for those who activated the game and needed to bypass the limit, which they just used the same instructions except with their own config.xml.
 
Well, my Launceston game file is corrupt after a power surge, whilst it was saving, so there will be no more Caleb Poad updates after this one, which sucks, because he finally cracked through for a Brownlow Win with 29 votes, 2 ahead of Ruben Hewitt. :(

Hey its always the way at least you found a great way to get the game running for some people and thanks for all your info and help :thumbsu: Some of us will just have to wait and hope that the new version comes out next year :)
 
Man, I reinstalled PC 2011 because my version was corrupted but now can't register and get my license working again. So what now? Do I need to find a crack?
