I think teams these days clog and defend the corridor so well that maybe going the 'longer way' is actually quicker as well as safer in case of turnover

Must of taken a fair bit to persuade to jump across then , unless he wasn’t to happy with Collingwood after they “mutually” parted ways with Hine the bloke that hired.

He might have had the same issues with Leppa as Hine.
He's still been at the club for 12 years, so not some blow in replacement who suddenly left.
Good to hear Brockman named in the ‘best’ by a couple of people. You’d think this new game plan would suit him.

It's definitely Adam Shepard. From the article (which isn't paywalled for me for some reason)
"Three sources with knowledge of the situation, who did not want to be named in order to speak freely, said the club had offered Adam Shepard a role as replacement for Derek Hine. They then planned to appoint another person to work as the talent ID manager.
But Shepard told the club this week instead that he would take a similar role at West Coast."
